Thank you Roxxy!
I'm too sensitive, I know.
It's something I'd like to change, but it's who I am. :hammer:

You're sensitive? What a horribly violent thing to say - I can't believe that you would come on a family site and mention that word... you should be shot...

(I so just opened myself up to some serious crap - but I just had to! )

Well, phooy on your teacher - my dad is one of the best musicians I know and he can't read music worth a lick! He put me in piano lessons when I was 6 - so I can say I've played for many many years - however I know lots of people that are as good or better than me that have never taken lessons! Keep up the good work!

Danny,
A lot of great musicians don't read music.
I think it's more important to "feel" the music.
But I wouldn't expect your teacher to get that. She sounds too "by the book". Her loss.

Screw her. You know your good, and that's all that's important.

She is a really great teacher, though. Very easy on the eyes (by which I mean BEAUTIFUL :D).

She's not by the book, per se. Maybe she just wants to improve the already up-and-comers?

Here's what I don't get: If they already know how to play, why doesn't she teach me how to instead?

Which, of course, presents a problem... :lookaroun She's a teacher... :lookaroun

She's also a reporter for the local news station.

And, she's actually a model for Victoria's Secret...seriously. :lookaroun

Did you try asking her?
Or does the fact that she's beautiful make speech impossible? :dazzle:
