Keyboard. Got it for Christmas.

I think my music teacher dismissed me, just today, for not ever taking piano lessons. We were picking out instruments today, and admittedly, all other 3 piano/keyboard "applicants", if you will, have taken lessons for over 5 years!

So what if I haven't taken lessons! I can play it just as good, and the keyboard I can play even better!!

She said she'd put me on xylophone, though, because it's "just like the right-hand melody of a piano..."

Well, phooy on your teacher - my dad is one of the best musicians I know and he can't read music worth a lick! He put me in piano lessons when I was 6 - so I can say I've played for many many years - however I know lots of people that are as good or better than me that have never taken lessons! Keep up the good work!
