Regarding this whole existentialism theme: There's been theories that the universe is slowly shrinking back to its original state. It's like a reversed Big Bang. Here's my question: Has this actually happened before? Had the universe expanded and shrunk, thousands of times before, before "our" universe began?

Well... what?
Please, explain; in this case, your guess is probably as good as ours.

I have no idea.....there was a big bang that created the universe....but what existed prior to the big bang......or what caused the bang to occur......we will never know

Well, this is where it get complicated now, doesn't it? :lookaroun

We will probably never know. Personally, I believe we, as the human race, are neither the only nor the first race of greater intelligence (capable of higher -level thinking), but unfortunately, I don't know if that's true, nor will anyone else know...

now...another question is "did human's create God(s) to answer the questions that they could not explain"

Yes.

EDIT: I won't say anything more because my views on the subject of religion tend to offend people...

how are your views accepted at your school?

Ummm... Atheist in a Catholic school...
It wouldn't end well. :lookaroun

I tend to stay away from the topic as much as possible, so for the most part I keep it to myself. The only thing I do differently is that I avoid saying "amen" or taking communion wherever possible.

*huggles* Aha! Well, with my faulty memory I'd be terrible at that game...

*huggles*

The Name Game started about a month ago when if a bunch of people got here at once we would huggle each and every one.

EXAMPLE:

Mary, Luke, Regina, Dot, Betty, Danny, and myself all came in and said *huggles* and what not, and I would reply with:

*huggles* Mary, Luke, Regina, Dot, Betty, and Danny
and Danny would reply with:
*huggles* Mary, Luke, Regina, Dot, Betty, and Freddy
and Regina would reply with:
*huggles* Mary, Luke, Freddy, Dot, Betty, and Danny
and so on...

And after a while, it just got to be too many people.
