Crystal Palace now offering alcohol

I'm sorry but comparing an alcoholic drink and a mickey bar is quite the stretch as well.

Why? They’re both an indulgence. One has alcohol content, one does not.

A glass of wine isn’t going to make someone drunk, and 1 mickey bar isn’t going to make someone fat, have a sugar high, or anything else.

One Glass of Wine is not anything other than an adult treat.

Ok, I’ll go back to the quote above. They are both saying the same thing.
No one needs alcohol to get thru a day. Some people enjoy an alcoholic drink, the same way someone else may enjoy a mickey bar. Comparing a glass of wine to a prescription sedative is quite a leap.
A huge one.
Not even on the same page.

Alcohol is certainly regarded more favorably in our alcohol-positive culture, but I would argue I would have to know how and why each person is using the substance to say which is worse.

How about marijuana? Not legal in Florida yet. But what about the day when it is? Should people be smoking up with Pooh?

What? A glass of wine tastes good.
Maybe that’s the How and Why?

Alcohol isn't the problem. Those who can't control their intake is. Those that really want to drink..will. You think that water is in every water bottle coming through the MK gate?

I've always found it odd that on many an occasion I've seen people pouring "water" into their soda.

You said you liked the taste, not the effect of wine

Sure about that?

Do you know where the taste comes from in a wine?

I’m not being snarky, Wine is fermented grapes.. you can get a “non alcoholic” wine, sort of.. but the process of removing the alcohol makes the wine tastes different. It’s not even close.

That is the huge difference, one has alcohol and one does not. One can be consumed by everyone and the other just adults 21 or older because of the effects it can have on someone. Those are the major differences between the two. Yes I suppose they both taste good but I can't vouch for Wine because I have never had it.

I agree, but it’s only served at a couple of restaurants, no? If there was beer carts in MK then I would be concerned. The ability to order a drink/s at dinner? I don’t think anyone is going to camp out there just to drink, they could be drinking at a resort instead, without paying admission into the MK.
I think the concern is that Disney might not stop there. I don't care about it being sold with lunch or dinner in a few restaurants. But I sure as heck don't want beer carts in the MK, with people holding open beer cups in the mosh pit of HEA viewers. I especially don't want to see it added to the over the top crowds sure to turn out for the opening of SWL in DL.

So to be fair, you don’t know what you feel like after having one glass with dinner, if you’ve never had it?

That’s completely different. I wouldn’t want to see beer carts either.

I think if Disney sees that it is making money they will not stop there.

No, but I probably have been on more medicines in my short lifetime that have had me out of it then most adults on here so I think I can relate a bit.

A glass of wine with food is not the equivalent of medication. It’s just not.
There is an entire career that exists because of pairing wine with food.. for flavor, for enjoyment... not so someone can feel ‘out of it’.

That is good to know. I wish more people would follow those drinking methods.
People have been following it, for over a century. That’s why nice restaurants aren’t full of stumbling drunks... people enjoy food and wine. Most people don’t abuse it.

I do hope you are right and it stops there and doesn't move to selling alcohol in carts throughout the parks.
