And.. :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: I drove to Walmart last night and picked up the cricut and the two mickey cartridges! Now it's 184 there and the cartridges were all 69.00. I told my husband what a bargain it was! There is really a lot you can do with those mickey cartridges, I was really pleased! Now I can't wait until my next trip so that I can make some really great disney pages!

Ah, peer pressure! :lol: I wouldn't even have a cricut if it wasn't for you wonderful women telling me about it. So I guess I have you to thank!

I'm very excited to get started making pages with it. Unfortunately, my scrapbook stuff is all cleaned up right now, so I will have to drag it all out, my daughter has dance class in a half hour that I have to take her to, and my eye is half swollen shut from a little surgery I had the other day. It seems that the world is conspiring against letting me get pages done! :ROFLOL:

Congrats Jenn!

Tammy, if it hadn't been for birthday money I wouldn't have one either. Right now I'm not sure what is worse, not having one at all or having one and not having the time to use it. I opened up my cabinet earlier and saw the poor little thing sitting there all alone. I almost feel guilty for not spending quality time with it yet.

I will probaby have to wait until Christmas to get the Disney cartridges so I will just have to admire Jenn's and Shari's Disney pics for now.

Hey Tammy, I bet we could sweet talk Jenn and Shari into mailing us a Mickey. I'd pay for paper and postage just to get one without getting ripped off on ebay.

Ok, so I got 1 page done using my new toy! I'm so excited by how easy it is to use! I primarily got it so that I could cut letters- I'm so sick of spending hundreds of dollars on stickers! Anyway, in this layout I cut the letters and the balloons with my cricut. I really like how they have the slotted feature so you can connect them.


By the way, I would be happy to send you ladies a mickey or whichever character you would like. It looks like it would be pretty easy to make one, although I haven't tried one yet- I won't have any disney pictures until December.

I know that I don't have any disney layouts to do right now, but I was excited to make a character, so I made a couple. They are so cute! There are so many options to choose from. I made a Minnie and Minnie's house.

i also love the way the letters are with the balloons. the letters look raised to me.

good job!

makes me want to start looking a paper scraping again. but i am so into the digital right now.

I have been having so much fun with my new little toy! On the mickey font cartridge they have a tickey feature that lets you cut a ticket with any word in it. Then, you also have the individual letters from that word that you can use somewhere else. It is really neat. I have included some pictures of layouts that I did today while playing around with it.

I just bought the two mickey cartridges- the fonts and the icons. It comes with a basic shapes font that has letters as well. I really want the birthday cartridge now, though. I can see how bad for me this is going to be. :D

Ok, I am addicted. I have 16 cartridges and want a few more :ROFLOL: It helped that Michael's ran some cartridges for $39.99 a few months ago. I went to Walmart and picked up a few that were not even in the ad and Walmart honored the prices anyway. They even had to pull over a manager to approve it since it was such a good deal. Now our Walmart has clearanced out their Cricut items so I stalk Ebay.

I just cut out over 100 1" hearts that I embossed last night with a different tool. Now I am trying to lay them out to make a mermaid tail...not having much luck free handing it like I thought. Hope to have pictures up soon of it!

oh i can't wait!

what kind of embossing tools do you have? now that is my dream tool, i would love to have a machine that embosses farther into the paper and not just the edges.

i make photo cards and would love to emboss them.

Wow! I wish they would run cartridges for 39.99 again! I would certainly snap up a few! :)
