Has anyone changed their mind now that a few months have passed?

My original response was I would most likely get it but was glad I had to wait a few months for my turn so I could see if there were any short term side affects. Which ended up being true since I just got my first shot after seeing dozens of friends and family get it with no adverse affects.

Is anyone more or less likely to get it now than they thought when this poll started in November? And if so, why?

Probably off topic....

CHEERING for all of you, that have elected to be stabbed :). DW & I already have #1 (Moderna).... #2 about March 31 :).
Both 69, no "effects" at all from #1 :).
I had no side effects from Moderna #1, not even a sore arm.

I had Moderna #2 yesterday at noon and felt fine until I woke up at 4 am with significant arm pain and slight chills. The arm pain got better in a few hours, but the chills got a little worse. The most notable side effect was fatigue. I spent most of the day taking naps - something I never do. DH and I are 65 and in pretty good shape.

Honestly, I would characterize the side effects as more annoying than painful. I’ve had flu a few times and this didn’t feel anywhere near as bad. It’s certainly worth it to avoid getting COVID.

We’re going to WDW in May - maybe we’ll try Shula’s for the first time 😉

I've had similar side effects from my second Moderna shot. Glad I'm done. When my mother got her first Pfizer shot and I was with her I did notice the RN telling each that was getting the shot what the side effects are and to expect them.

I just found out my Bro in law is now willing to get it.
He's 100% Native American and does not trust government rightfully so but seeing the rest of us get it and the fact that he doesn't want not getting it to hold him back from doing other things he'll get it.

I hope I don't have awful side effects from my second dose.
Whatever the side effects it is surely better than getting Covid. I know someone who is in his early 50s, healthy and started feeling symptoms last Sat. On Mon he tested positive and then quarantined himself. During his quarantine where he was living he collapsed . He is now in the hospital in the Covid ward.

An incredible 4.6 million doses today, pulling the 7-day average to 2.53 million per day.

Buzzkill.

The important part from the article...

In the meantime, the moving 7-day average remains the best measure to watch, since it helps smooth these types of changes. And that average, it’s worth noting, keeps going up.
It's the lesson we learned from all the stats and graphs so far.

Yes, but unfortunately it’s unlikely to stay at 2.53 million today. Still, I’ll take 2.3 million/day this week. We still haven’t had many JnJ shots administered. Once those start coming online in a more meaningful way, the pace will really accelerate since JnJ is “worth” 2 doses. Within a month, we should be fully-vaccinating 2 million per day.

With each passing day, I am so thankful that we don’t need to rely on AstraZeneca...and Novavax looks to be another fantastic vaccine—right around the efficacy of Pfizer and Moderna but based upon studies completed with the variants present.

Fewer doses today, as expected, but we still land at 2.39 million doses per day in the 7-day average. It was 2.16 million a week ago and 1.74 million 2 weeks ago. Wish we’d pick up the JnJ pace. 1.2 million administered but 3.7 million distributed? They should not be holding onto a single dose of this one. Having at least 80% of available doses used at all times is not an unreasonable goal.

Meanwhile, Fauci still talking about a “worrying case rate plateau” that was artificially made by a huge data dumps in days ago. The rate of decline has definitely dropped but that is to be expected as there are many fewer cases. Just 2 months ago we were at 250k cases reported each day. This week, if we ignore data dump day, which is certainly a statistical outlier, we are around 55k/day (can be precise on Tuesday when data dump day is no longer included in the average).

With that said, I do not envy the locals n FL dealing with a reckless level of crowding this week. Be safe.

I had nothing bad. So far none in our family did either. Many do not so you could be one too!

We canceled our trip because we were worried about crazies. From pics I've seen of friends posting in WDW and USF mask wearing is mixed and social distancing doesn't seem to happen much. Glad we're staying home. June is on though!

These anti-mask crowd have no idea or maybe don't care what it is like to get covid. My friends and one who is healthy is going through a very rough time recently with symptoms after testing positive.

You couldn’t pay me to go right now! It looks miserable. I’m with you. I just wouldn’t feel comfortable when the majority are still unvaccinated.

June trip is on here, too.

I am still waiting not-too-patiently for my shot(s), but hope springs eternal that I'll win the Virginia Commonwealth Vaccine Lottery this week or next. The state is doling out available doses according to complex algorithms that juggle multiple priorities, but my group should be reaching the front of the line soon. Then I will be optimistic for mild side effects -- neither my parents nor husband had too many complaints.

Someone from another non Disney forum posted that the Greensboro NC mega site is open 7 days a week 12 hours a day and is opening it up to anyone. I don't have any more info but worth looking into if you don't live too far.
