Looks like Aldi has joined the ranks of incentivizing employee vaccination via a small bonus. While they’re a smaller player, these types of moves will increase pressure on the likes of Wal Mart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and even Disney (not sure how union contracts play there).

Didn't expect to be informed of the needle size from a Disney World forum of all places, ha. I'm not a fan of shots because of a freak reaction I had to one a few years ago but I'm pretty eager to just bite the bullet on this one. Already planning a bit of a buffer as I'm sort of a weak thing. Does help to know it's not much larger than usual.
Once my state rolls out the next phase of distribution, 4/5 of the family will be jabbed and good to go.

And the call back...

I was indeed vaccinated.

Pfizert/BioNTech back in September. I truly really only had a very sore arm for 2 day both times. Any headache I may have had or tiredness I cannot attribute to anything other than being woken up by the arm pain both time. So I continue my trial as usual though I am unblinded.
Enjoy your newly confirmed immunity! Unlike the rest of us, you're way past the 14 marker.

Lol yep, by like 4 months now! No third arm or zombie transformation either.

For me it was not the worst shot I've ever had. I am a music coordinator for a church and went in the next day after the 2nd shot (still closed a bit for the first and not doing our usual stuff) to do my work. I was lifting heavy binders of music and doing everything as normal that day. Was tired but my arm pain woke me up (side sleeper who flops sides). No chills, no nausea, a hint of a a fever for an hour or so, but life wasn't near having to slow down at least. My MMR or dtap boosters were about the same for me (got both at the same time, different arms when I was 16 due to missing records)

What is your super power?

I’m hoping I will be able to fly. Sick of traffic and checked bag fees.

My dad (75) just got it today. Mom (72) scheduled for this Saturday. My dad has had zero symptoms and no soreness. Get the shot people!
Happy for them! My MIL & FIL had no issues either. Each got a different shot (one from a clinic and one from the VA) and neither had any side effects (both mid 70s). I hope your mom does well with the shot Saturday. My own dad goes Tuesday.

If we do indeed accomplish the stated goal of 100 million doses over the next 100 days I’d imagine Disney is darn close to back to normal by October 1st. That being said I’m extremely skeptical of this goal being accomplished given the public sector is the one carrying out the logistics and resources. I’m STILL getting Christmas cards in the mail for gosh sakes!

30 days is our longest so far from being sent to received. A note across town a mile away that didn't even transfer post offices took 10 days. Ridiculously slooow. We are starting to have pharmacy companies administering them at least. If the distribution can speed up to them I know things will improve.

We are already nearing 1 million shots/day. 100 million in 100 days is certainly doable as long as production keeps up. And if we have JnJ doses by March, they’ll cross 100 million at a jog.

Further thought: do they mean 100 million total doses (shouldn’t be a problem considering we’ve purchased 200 million deliverable by 3/30) or 100 million PEOPLE vaccinated (more impressive but we should have the doses)?

I’d take either, but assuming J&J comes online we’re obviously better off at 1/3 of the population fully vaccinated by May 1.

I’ve always taken the 100M shots in 100 days as a nice even numbered slogan. With 16 million already administered in a clunky rollout of a month, I’d imagine 100 million individual doses is more than doable.
