Okay, now that my panic over MuppetVision/Rivers of America have resided, time to get back to work on some scripts! Going to give the Hollywood one a go, and maybe after that I'll do a setlist or two.

Finally finished the script for Jinglin' Jamboree. Might do one for the summer show but I'm not sure.

This is great! Definitely stands out from the OG Christmas show and feels different.

Gee, I sure wish I could come up with an overlay script too, but I have zero ideas.
You could always start by just coming up with a set list that’s around a general theme, or try redoing an existing show!

Discovered this thread during my recent hyperfixation on the Country Bears, so here’s my set list for a Halloween show. (Also I did come up with a few song ideas before I saw the thread, so I will admit that a few song choices being shared with previous setlists on here is coincidental).

Country Bear Jam’boo’ree Halloween Horrors

Gomer - Toccata and Fugue in D minor
Five Bear Rugs - Ghost Riders in the Sky
Bunny, Bubbles & Beulah - I Put a Spell on You
Romeo & Trixie - Poor Unfortunate Souls
Wendell & Henry - The Headless Horseman
Ernest & The Five Bear Rugs - The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Shaker - Friends on the Other Side
Teddi Barra - Cruella de Vil
Big Al - Blood on the Saddle
Finale - Grim Grinnin’ Ghosts

With my vision for it, I’m torn on whether it should be a full overlay, complete with costume and set changes, or something similar to Mission Breakout’s overlay where it switches out for the night/Halloween Party with only audio and lighting changes. However, since I thought it’d be fun I made these edits on what the costumes could look like, here’s a few concepts.

Welcome to the forums! I really like the set list and the concept art just makes the concept so much better!

This is great! If I'm remembering you correctly, you made a mockup video for the CBMJ awhile ago, right? You nailed the song choices imo!

Thanks! I did make a mockup video before they revealed the setlist for the new show. (I was going to make another one based on the Halloween overlay idea, but it’s so much easier just to post it here since half the songs don’t currently have country versions lol)

Dusting off this thread to bring up something we could all work on together- a better playlist for the Hungry Bear! In case you haven't seen it, the new playlist of "the Country Bear's Greatest Hits" are... well, mostly songs not actually performed by the bears.

This is extremely disappointing, I can't believe they dropped the ball this hard- why did they license new music instead of using their own? With four shows to pull from (even the Christmas show has two songs that would work out of context), they could easily make a setlist that is long enough to not be repetitive. Though I'm sure some songs by artists who have voiced the bears would help beef things up.

So why don't we come up with our own?

This is fantastic! Would be perfect for the background track of a restaurant. My only note: Make either Hungry as a Bear or If You Can't Bite, Don't Growl vocal tracks!

Nathan Hartman did something similar for the opening of CBMJ, but with an original character "Rowdy Wild" as the host and Rufus as his assistant!

Was that an official Disney product? If it is, I'm shocked they not only used Blood on the Saddle but the full verse about the cowboy getting squashed by the bronco

Figured I'd try my hand at my own Christmas Special revamp! I like a lot of the original, so I really just swapped a few songs here and there. Added a Frozen song in there because I figured that's mandatory, lol.

The Country Bear Christmas Jamboree
  • "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" - Gomer and Henry
  • "Tracks in the Snow" - Henry and the Five Bear Rugs
  • "White Christmas" - Wendell
  • "All I Want for Christmas is You" - Trixie
  • "Deck the Halls" - The Five Bear Rugs
  • "Jingle Bell Rock" - Romeo McGrowl and Gomer
  • "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" - Terrence and the Penguin
  • "Sleigh Ride" - The Sun Bonnet Trio, Melvin, Max, and Buff
  • "Hungry as a Bear" - Ernest and the Five Bear Rugs
  • "The Christmas Song" - Teddi Barra and Henry
  • "Blue Christmas" - Big Al
  • "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" - Henry, Sammy, and the Sun Bonnet Trio
  • "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" - Melvin, Max, and Buff
  • "Winter Wonderland" - Cast (minus Ernest and Trixie)
  • "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" - Exit music

(Credit for that last one goes to EagleScout, I loved the idea of that song being played as everyone leaves!)

There's probably a million ideas you could do for all the characters- "Last Christmas" would work with Trixie, "Santa Baby" with Teddi, etc. Heck, you could do "I'll Be Home for Christmas" for Wendell and keep him covered in snow, with the joke being he won't make it home.
Now that it's getting closer to Christmas, I kinda wanna revisit this one and try to do something totally different from the original. A sequel, if you will! I'm usually not a fan of getting into the Christmas spirit this early (I like to wait until after Thanksgiving), but doing editing work and thumbnails for the holiday stuff at WDW for WDW.NT has been exposing me and it's hard to resist, lol. Plus we set up our tree in my office early to get our new kitten used to it to see if he's going to be the kind of cat to jump in trees (our previous old man liked to sleep under the tree), so I'm surrounded by Christmas already lol.
