No. It’s that it’s really hot. People don’t remember this, but back in the ‘90s, it was about 20 degrees cooler in the summer at WDW. It would snow in the winter!

It is D23 though and not the parks… I paid a crazy amount of money to ride carousel of progress with Marty Sklar and Tony Baxter - totally worth it.

It’s more than just watching the show - if I was in town I’d do it. Haha.

If I didn’t already have an AP, I’d say the first showing including park admission is actually a pretty good value, but I can see why it would be frustrating for people who already have admission.

We’d probably pay to do it if it fit conveniently in our schedule or if it made it possible to attend before we left Orlando, but with it only being a few days earlier and our family not planning to be anywhere near WDW next week, it’s not worth it to us (and it wouldn’t be even if it was free)— we can wait until August.

It did. Chiefly Max and Buff poking fun at Trixie’s girth while she sings

After her song, Henry admonishes them with “Now boys, be polite.”

To which Melvin responds with “Yeah, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all!”

Funny thing is they just turned off their audio during Trixie’s song…they didn’t alter the animation. So while Trixie’s singing, you’d see Buff and Max silently mouthing to themselves. Henry and Melvin’s animations were edited out altogether, shaving those 15-20 seconds and going to the next song.


Also Zeke’s solo song “Devilish Mary” was axed around the same time.

We saw Country Bear Jamboree on Wednesday, October 17th, just after the grand "re-opening." As the old lady mused in the Titanic film, "you could still smell the fresh paint." The songs I'd seen listed here for potential removal (Blood on the Saddle, Mama Don't Whip Little Buford) remained...

Buff, Max, and Melvin were reprogrammed to silently mouth to themselves through the whole show with new animations. The bit during Trixie's song was new animation as a nod to their original dialogue after the song.

I am so conflicted, I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up, especially with try everything but the team from all we’ve seen seem to have their hearts in the right place, along with the “blood on the saddle” rumors so idk.

Glad the bears are sticking around and that the theatre didn’t become big Al’s country bear dvc lounge
