There is three things I could think of that would cause the parade to be gone.

The first thing I could think of is the budget for entertainment for DHS has been cut.

The 2nd thing I could think of is what Hollywoodj mentioned about an announcement of an expansion.

The 3rd thing I could think of is Disney is planning "new for summer attraction" happening at DHS.

DHS can't be doing that bad!! Fantasmic is back to every night for the past two years. If the DHS expansion covers any if the parade route, I can understand that. DCA did the same thing with PPP in 2011. Did Mulan leave way early because of the hat???? Mulan left in March 2001, way before Stars And Motorcars came in Oct 2001 I doubt Spectro(even if the Spectro rumors are false) would move over there with F! being 50 Feet away. Although, DL did that from 1992-1996 with F! and MSEP. Maybe WDW is turning Spectro into a DHS Day Parade?????

So all floats that travel by the BAH are being cancelled on April 6 right after the busy spring break period ends. Call me crazy but that damn eyesore may finally be removed. One can hope.

I used to perform Mulan (long ago) we went dark for the hat construction to ramp up and there was no parade at MGM for roughly six months while they built Stars and Cars

I'm not quite sure if we're quite there yet, more improvements must be made but we're certainly on the right track. No ones quite sure if that's what these closings mean either. However I do believe that, despite it being slow, Sleeping Beauty is begining to awake....

The only thing I still don't understand is what MK will do with nightlife. Sure MSEP looks great now but with what i've read on here, How long can that last???? I cant picture MK ending MSEP when the new Day Parade comes.

I hope you are right. With the rampant rumors of a DHS expansion, the DTD expansion announced, new fantasyland finishing up, and hopefully they will actually start Avatar construction over at AK, thats a lot of new things happening.

I am happy to hear this if it is true! Countdown to Fun is one of the worst Disney parades. Block Party Bash is definitely not coming back because I've see the mobile trampoline cubes behind a business along 192. They've been sold. I agree that it does seem odd. I wish it was for DHS overhaul or removal of the hat or both, but I am not betting on it.

Goodbye CTF. I will miss the characters that can only be seen in the parade but I won't miss the feeling of watching a parade that feels very thrown together and cheap. The entire parade cast always gave their best IMO.

There is one concern that eyesore getting removed. It might be moved somewhere else. If BAH gets moved, it better not be top of Spaceship Earth.

not sure why removal of the hat is that big of a deal... of all the things I'd like Disney to do/focus on... the hat might be at the bottom of the list. While kinda in the way of the theater, DHS needs something to take a photopass photo in front of haha
