I’m done with the anti-vaxx stuff. It’s laughable to see people parroting the same things and thinking they had an original thought.
It isn't anti-vaxx to point out the facts of what they do and what they don't do. I never said not to get vaccinated. I mean, I personally know more fully vaccinated people who have had COVID than unvaccinated and my circle is probably 70% vaccinated.

Watching Biden now. He’s talking a lot about how many employees this vaccine mandate affects but nothing about how many of these employees are actually unvaccinated. I’m hoping this pumps up our numbers quickly
Look at the number of people vaccinated who are age 18-65, then consider how many of them are employed.

If you've ever been to McDonalds in parts of South America, going there to eat is a very special occasion and it is a restaurant company that has sold burgers in the billions.
I would actually love to. To date, I haven't been south of Orlando. But I have been to multiple McDonalds in Europe.
I didn't get a "Royale with Cheese", though.

C'mon..admit you read that in the voice of John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson, or both, lol.

Near me it’s 14 to get working papers so all workers 12+
It's 14+ here also. There's coworkers I know that won't allow their kids to be vaccinated, the kids work in fast food.
But the kids can't get vaccinated without parent or tested approval. So that would put the kid in a bad spot for sure.

Okay. My thought was how they would handle minors if it applied. They can't receive the vaccine or be tested without parents approval, so could be tough spot for some.
Yeah, don’t know about that. This likely will take time in the courts to settle out, but eventually those parents refusing their kid a vaccine or test will need to decide whether or not they want to pony up their spending cash again. That, on top of a few hundred extra bucks for healthcare premiums, and life is going to get very costly for anti-vax parents.

It really is time to get more forceful with these types of actions. “Remove the masks and I’ll get a shot.” “FDA approval and I’ll get a shot.” Nope, sorry, we’re done with your lies. I’m done hearing about diverting surgical patients while the unvaccinated cram our halls. Get a shot or don’t work. Enough.

It will depend on the state. Could homogenize vaccine rates, or close to it. For example, Cascade County (Great Falls, MT), has a lot of unvaccinated people. Two health systems, and a whole lot of federal contractors attached to Malmstrom AFB. They’ll have a pretty quick improvement of vaccine rates, I’d imagine.

You know what's funny?
Not to mention the long legal precedent of governments being able to mandate vaccinations (dating back to George Washington and smallpox)
I assume OSHA has the resources to deal with non compliance?

im not against mandates. I just think they should come from the states as they typically can do more and have more authority in all areas.

It doesn’t matter. People have to get the vaccine whether they think it works or not.
If it doesn't lead to herd immunity or significance prevent spread why should they have to? Because you think it's what's best for them? Even if it is what's best they have the right to make a bad decision.

If a kid can’t be vaccinated they would have to get tested weekly instead. If the parents won’t allow them to be tested they can’t work anywhere with that rule. It will limit their job prospects

That’s what I’m guessing as well. It won’t budge the numbers in high vaccine areas, but it’s going to get lower area rates up

I know of at least four companies with federal contracts with lots of reluctant employees in FL who have been pushing back on any company vaccine mandates. This will make management happy to easily say their hands are tied and get vaccinated or find other work or pay for your weekly test and pass before entering.

At least you probably have been to one of the largest McDonalds locations in the world at the corner of Sand Lake and I-Drive a few minutes from Universal Orlando.

Yes, the vaccines don’t prevent spread. The unvaccinated in Orange County just happen to be really unlucky and 90%+ of new cases are in unvaccinated people. The numbers get posted here regularly. Why look at actual numbers when we can just parrot some talking point instead? Like I said, the discussion and debate are over.

What I think is best is irrelevant. People will either take the vaccine or accept their limitations. They are free to make what I think is a bad decision. No amount of fact twisting and arguing is going to change this.
