Florida is now down to 5 cases per 100k. This is the lowest number since Spring 2020. Yes, Florida now has less cases than the when Covid19 was starting. 30 states are in single digits and the US according to the NY Times is also down to 9 cases per 100k and in single digits.

Out of curiosity where’d you get that info? The site I was using hasn’t updated each state in over a month

Well, I'm in a covid vaccine study as of a few days ago. Got my fourth dose, and it's a new version of the vaccine that is more specifically geared towards fighting the Omicron variant. The only thing I don't know (the "blind" part, for now) is how big of a dose I got. I suspect it was less than the usual dose, because I haven't been sick after taking it. A little tired, slightly "off," but nothing like previous doses where I stayed in bed until noon.

Despite discussing it at length before going, to different people on different calls, they rejected my spouse for being type I diabetic. That's annoying.

My hope is if/when the variant of the Omicron variant gets over here from Europe, I'll have a bit of an edge against it, and also help them get enough testing done to roll it out to others.
Is it only the dosage that you don't know, or is there a possibility that you got a placebo shot instead of the real vax?

You know what's funny?
The wave from the Uk may be starting here. The US reported 45k cases today. Compares to the 35 last Thursday this may be the first sign of the increase
Every week you seem to want to compare daily to daily...and every week people tell you it is probably not a good idea to understand the trend, and to look at something like 7 day averages if you want to look at case counts at all. Are you just doing it on purpose now to get a rise out of people? The decline is still occurring, but is bottoming out a bit now..which is probably expected at this point. You aren't going to see huge declines with low case counts.

Right. And at some point it will indeed increase because math. We can manipulate data all we want to make a point. We were at like 800k reported cases per day. Now it’s 32k. If cases doubled in a week to 64k, some would be freaking out with “cases doubled! We are all gonna die” while I’d say “cases are down over 90% in 2 months” and we’d all be discussing the same data points.

COVID’s over! How is this thread still a thing?
COVID isn't over and never will be. However, based upon reports from WDW and observing out in Vegas an overwhelming majority of the population doesn't care and has returned to living without giving it any thought.

I even saw a significant number of people (in Miami and Las Vegas) walking around the airport without a mask, not even on their chin, just walking around like there is no requirement and nobody said a word to anybody.
