I know for my family that is traveling together in July those of us who work are all still working so the time off and money won't be much of an issue. There are 15 of us total ranging in ages from 4-74 and everyone is still on board if Disney will be up and operating at that time.
I’m in the same boat with a Disney trip in August. It’s paid for and the time off won’t be a problem. If it’s even open I’m just not sure about going until I see how this pans out. What’s your thought on wearing masks? I’m having trouble picturing spending days in the FL heat with a mask on.

Mask in Aug I think they would be saturated with sweat in a matter of hours. Florida in Aug would be hotter than you know what

August in Orlando, Florida, is characterised by high heat and humidity, with rain very likely. Similar to July, the average daytime temperatures are around 33°C (about 92°F) so it's not the best time to go to Orlando if you're not used to hot weather. You can't even rely on a drop in temperature at night with average minimum temperatures of around 23°C (about 73°F).

Hopefully this was meant as a joke

Sony is a direct competitor of some Disney businesses so of course they would not likely market each others brands in such a fashion and that basically invalidates your answer. And yet they are associated together in a variety of deals around the world regarding film tv and music and while they have had some high profile differences they still work together.

I had my first experience with a mask yesterday at urgent care with my son (nothing serious but needed a script for an eye drop) and the mask sucked. I had my glasses on and no contacts and every time I took a breath they fogged up. It was also itchy and hot and it was only like 57 degrees outside. I can't imagine in the FL July heat so if I can get by without it I will.

Hope everyone has a great day whatever your beliefs! Friend sent me this when I woke up. Made me think about how businesses may change when this is over. Not sure if they will but we all think Disney will change, maybe others?

I had to pick up Easter candy for my kids yesterday at Target and I had my first experience wearing the mask out. It wasn’t great. I can’t see wearing it all day. I’m hoping it’s not necessary too.

The mask is uncomfortable but having to get used to it while the sweat from my forehead gets soaked and pours down my face into the mask. The idea is difficult to deal with but doable. But then again I am sure people were saying why and how did Walt build WDW in the middle of an alligator and snake infested swampland in the hot humid oppressive Florida heat and will people deal with the oppressive conditions to vacation there.

In many places they are becoming mandatory in public places
Because tourism is such a big part of Florida’s economy I’m not sure they would mandate masks because it would definitely deter a lot of people from visiting. For the health of residents it’s probably better if people didn’t converge on the state for vacations, but it would be devastating for the economy. Definitely a double edged sword.

Disney could definitely get by without toddlers and infants, financially. The MK is constantly overcrowded. A 20% drop in attendance for a while wouldn't take away its profitability.

Yes, I know it's shocking to think that *Disney* would never do such a thing to *children*!

Well... Disney's doing such a thing to children right now by being shut down. How many toddlers and infants have been to a Disney park this month?

If on the way to returning to normal (and a vaccine) means everyone must continue to wear face masks in public (for a while), except for toddlers and infants because they just can't. Then any business (if not by government decree) can ban the maskless tots from their place of business. It's not like a two year old can't wait until there's a vaccine and go when they're three.
Of course they can't do that. The optics would be terrible.

A legit question.... if our hospitals are at the point of being over run... why is Mayo Clinic furloughing workers? I don’t think I understand. I’ve heard the hospitals around me are cutting hours too...
They are furloughing staff not related to COVID care. All elective surgeries have been cancelled. My wife's.hospital has been at 50% bed occupancy for.2.weeks. with normal being 85%.

Everything has been cleared.in anticipation of Covid.
