Feel better.

At this point, I'm assuming we're all going to catch it after our trip. That's if we don't catch it the week before the trip, just to make things interesting.
My worry is my kid getting it before Tuesday when he leaves for DC. I'm actually not really caring about catching something after a trip tbh. We haven't been hiding away though lately. And already did one trip mask free this year when I know others returned from breaks sick. School has always been a higher risk for spread so it will be what it will be.

In interesting news my kid's marching band he will be in next year announced a spring break Disney trip. First one since 2020 that was canceled on them as they were driving down to Florida. I believe they hit WV and had fo turn around.

Thank you. I'm having very mild symptoms that if I didn't know better I'd think were allergies.
Glad to hear it. I hope it stays that way.

I can't believe people think the pandemic is over. Especially, as people report that they're still getting sick from it, and suffering from long covid.
I don't think it is over but I am not sure what else to do at this point? I don't enjoy living a more seclusionary life. I have heard nothing from the trial about any further booster work and will be released in 2 months after being a part of it for 2 years. We have to find ways to live with it and with the way omicron is behaving, I feel like there is little more I can do. Doesn't mean I ignore all going on, but I cannot get as worked up over this as I did 2 years ago. That's not healthy either.

I think it’s a safe assumption we‘ll all get it eventually, many of us have probably already had an asymptomatic case (or cases) without even realizing it.

I know several people who have tested positive recently but every one of them has been asymptomatic and only found out because testing was required for their job or for travel. Without mandatory testing they all said they wouldn’t have taken a test and wouldn’t have known.

Allergy season is likely masking other cases, I think unknown spread is much bigger than we think, but since it’s primarily mild or asymptotic cases I’m also not sure it requires the same level of concern as before.

I worry about long asymptomatic Covid.

I realize this is probably meant to be a joke, but a friend of mine recently had asymptomatic covid and then passed out while driving. He's now suffering from long-term fatigue, can't drive, can't work. Doctor said it was dysautonomia from covid. He never even felt sick in the first place. This is a weird illness for some people.

That’s alarming, I’ve know dozens of people who’ve had varying degrees of Covid, I’m fortunate that I still don’t know anyone who’s died from it, but I have 1 friend who’s been fighting Covid since December, she has lymphoma (thankfully in remission), and just can’t kick it no matter what they try. She spent a few days in the hospital back in Jan but has been home ever since, she feels fine except she has no stamina, so bad some days she will need a break just walking up the stairs because she gets short of breathe and lightheaded

Weird illness may be an understatement, it’s surprising that 2 years in we still seem to have more questions than answers.
