I don't get all the jubilant (and to my mind premature) "COVID's over, time to move on" from posters who have already made amply clear that they returned to pre-pandemic behaviours months ago. The rest of us will ease back into normality in our own time and according to our own comfort levels. A court ruling isn't going to magically change the way we feel.
The court ruling (like the policy changes at WDW) show a clear illustration of how people who feel comfortable traveling and vacationing feel. At WDW, at least 90% of guests were comfortable ditching masks the instant the policy was changed. For air travel, reports I've read indicate that at least 70% were comfortable going unmasked as soon as the order came down.

As I've said previously, COVID will neve be over. At some point you either have to just live normally with it or decide to try and avoid it forever which is an exercise in futility if you, or any member of your household, ever leaves the house. Personally, I never had to "move on" because the only effect COVID had on my life were things that were forced upon me. I couldn't go to WDW for a few months because it was closed, I couldn't dine at restaurants for a few months because they were not allowed to have dine in customers and I had to skip my March 2020 trip to Vegas because the hotels and casinos were closed.

Other than that, I lived the same life as I did prior to March 2020 and wore a mask only when required. To my knowledge, I haven't been infected yet despite doing all kinds of "risky" things over the past two years. I've been on dozens of flights, spent around 30 days in the parks at WDW, attended sold out indoor concerts and packed sporting events. Basically, I've done everything that Dr. Fauci told me not to do.
I kept my Athleta masks for winter instead of scarves. I find masks warmer and they stay put. Like balaclavas but more comfortable. I do have a stash for doc offices and church in case I'm requested while being paid to sing. Also just in case. I am debating of flights as I am unsure if my mask kept moisture in my nose better leading to less of a sinus headache. We'll see what I do in June.

I've slowly been going back since numbers dropped in February. Like last summer I'm ready to go. I'm 9 months post booster and Pfizer hasn't called me in. Last time it was 10 months so even that might be ending in July
In my experience, wearing a mask on a plane has led to getting headaches that I never got before without a mask. Why don't you bring saline nose spray on board and try using it every 15 minutes or so and see if that keeps your sinuses from drying out.

No mask headaches here. I suffer from sinus dryness quickly which leads to bloody noses and fun stuff. Dealing with it today due to a cold snap. The 6 flights I finally did not, but not sure if it was really coincidence or not. Nasal sprays, which I do have and bring don't help. They are not meant to be used that often and the excess just causes it to run right out. Not doing that on a flight. No one wants to see that or worry why I am wiping my nose so much ;)

Just accept that masks can help some ;) please do not be judgmental when others wear.

Also keeping my better ones for woodworking. But that's how I had some vented masks to begin with.

I liked using my mask for warmth in the winter as well. I'm not sure about the moisture and the plane, though. I did have one kind of rough experience with a mask. While waiting for the Magical Express (that dates this occurrence), I had been wearing a mask since we arrived at our home airport with the "Pull it up and take a drink/bite" moments. For some reason while waiting (and it was about an hour), I started feeling dizzy. I don't think that it was the mask, per se, but was probably related to low blood sugar or something. I had to pull my mask off for about five minutes and then started feeling better. Put the mask back on and all was well. That wasn't fun.

I won't miss wearing a mask, though, except in winter.
My worst mask experiences were not my own but purely coincidental to wearing. Kid at school with a bloody nose and friend who forgot motion sickness pills on Star Tours. I started to feel a panic attack one on the skyliner when riding backwards but moving to face forward helped me.

I will never miss wearing outside of winter. With my hats, I can keep the straps loose so no irritating rubbing and the hats kinda just hold in place. Less bulky to carry too. Never thought I'd love them.

Which means the other 30% weren’t. And that’s precisely my point: millions of us don’t yet consider COVID to be “over”. You guys are welcome to celebrate, but you don’t speak for everyone, even if you speak for the majority.

I don't judge anybody. As long as I don't have to wear a mask or participate in any other "mitigation" others are free to do whatever makes them happy. My mom is an extreme masker. I don't judge her or say anything to her.

If somebody wants to walk around in a Biohazard suit, to each their own.

I hope that the non-judgment goes both ways. I do suspect that I have been judged many times for not masking, even when not required.

I never said I speak for everyone. I only said that the vast majority of people who feel comfortable traveling or going to leisure destinations at all don't feel the need to do anything to "feel safe."

There is certainly a percentage of the population who is not "over" COVID mitigation and there will likely be some percentage (I'd guess 10%-20%) who will mask up for the rest of their lives. As long as they don't expect me to I don't really care what they do.

I'm happy because I don't like watching or having to partake in measures that really aren't doing anything.
Masking on planes or in airports (which I did a couple of weeks ago) wasn't doing anything to reduce the spread of covid, when there were no measures being done anywhere else - let alone in the theme park I was travelling to and from.

And I have no issue with your being happy, as I’ve already made clear. I’m going to wait a little longer before I return to pre-pandemic mode (I’ll know I’m ready when I feel I can take a trip to WDW).

I don't even recall the queue having it in June of last year. Where is it still up? Googling didn't help as articles said it was removed in May. Totally curious where it was that I missed.
There is a small section in the cave. And after you leave the Stormtrooper room, plexiglass dividers remain on the poles separating the left lane from the right as you make your way towards the interrogation room area. At least that is how it was when I rode on 4/4/22.

Must not be obtrusive or even noticeable as added then to those who only had a chance to ride after reopening. Because I still cannot figure out where it is.

The ride plexiglass on the other hand.... so glad my first ride was front row.
As of 2 weeks ago the plexiglass was still there in the Frozen queue. It was gone from the FoP queue finally.
We have not ridden since pre-pandemic by choice lol. I have also never been through the main FoP queue during the pandemic to know. My one I hate most is 3 Caballeros. I also disliked Safari but my back hasn't let me ride since June to know what's going on there.

You know what's funny?
US covid hospitalizations still hovering just above 10k even with the small bump in cases that we have seen in certain areas spread over the last month or so due to BA.2. So not really declining as it once was...but flat. Good news IMO.
