This is simplistic and unkind. As has already been discussed in this thread, millions who are vaccine-hesitant are victims of disinformation or belong to communities that have historically been mistreated by the medical establishment.
What method would you suggest that hasn’t already been tried? They can’t be bribed (lotto,) they can’t be reasoned with, and we have made it as hassle free as possible. The rabbit has rejected the carrot and you think any stick is too cruel yet it’s wrong just to allow them to die. This is not a thought experiment, this is the real world and any solution will be messy, either start selectively restricting their freedom, forcibly vaccinate, or watch them die. Each solution has its problems, and like it or not it’s clear the most politically expedient one is let them die, and we have a history in this country of always choosing the most politically expedient option.

Why do we keep saying they can’t be bribed.

This is just false.

In the last two days I alone have bribed 5 family members.

How can you not see the difference between a lotto you are not going to win and a guaranteed financial reward?

Again, I’ll defer to the experts on this one. They seem to think empathy rather than stigmatisation is the way to go.

Anicdotal evidence. A stimulus will likely only convince a portion of the 25% who are just not sure, the rest will try to obtain it via fraud (which will be extremely simple given proof is a paper card) or simply forgo it.

my wife & i both work in a hospital. we were vaccinated back in december/january. our hospital recently announced mandatory vaccinations for all employees by 10/1. there are people we know in our departments who refused to get it, & are not happy with the announcement. i’ll admit it’s a touchy issue but it came as no surprise. it’s also mandatory to get the flu shot every year as well.
i understand why people are hesitant to get it & try not to judge, but it’s a shame when there’s so much misinformation out there.
although it’s currently not as bad in our hospital as it was months ago as far as the number of positive cases, it doesn’t hurt to use a little caution. i’ve told people in the past what u see on tv does no justice when u see it face to face.
on that note, i personally hope more people would just get vaccinated.

Each state knows exactly who has been vaccinated and who hasn't. All I needed to do was enter my name and contact info to enter the lottery in our state. We forgot my son's vaccination card when we went for his second shot, but it didn't matter...they just looked him up.

And yet the vast majority of the people will still be fine, especially if they are vaccinated
Just because you may be fine doesn't mean the people you spread it to will. And even full vaccination is no guarantee you won't spread it to others, especially if you're dealing with the delta variant.

Children aren't protected as long as the vaccine isn't cleared for them!
They are protected by their young healthy immune system and something else that had been protecting them since the beginning. Severe disease in children thankfully remains rare.

Some states do, you live in one and so do I but not every state has a vaccine registry, and the federal government doesn’t either.

WOW who could have predicted this?

You mean to tell me vaccine passports work?

What a silly idea, let’s just mask and social distance again to slow the spread for the next 12 years.

Yes... amazing, if you require people to get vaccinated in order to participate in public venues, most will actually get vaccinated.

On the other hand, if there is no perceived consequence of not getting vaccinated (with many still believing Covid is not concerning), more people will forego the vaccines.

If you truly enforced vaccine passports, there would be zero need for masking or mitigation within passport venues.

I understand this is on just vaccine and card, but there will be problems with fake passports also. May help but.......
We can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
