As we will get into Fall/Winter seasons as the cases will go down lower or getting bigger, as Delta variant keeps doing spreading faster like India. Is NJ/NY will be much better than last year for this Fall/Winter season? COVID-19 is getting worse by August/September or November/December. I don't know about its future of COVID-19 even this is getting this so worse than last year.

For those worried about restrictions being put back in place and effecting your upcoming trip don’t.

It’s financially and politically impossible for it to happen short of the virus completely bypassing the vaccine.

If I was worried about restrictions, I wouldn’t be planning a trip to Disney World at this point. But then, I have no trip planned anytime soon.

Exactly what I was hinting. I would not require my child to wear a mask while I walked around maskless. I would wear one in "solidarity" even though I didn't need to wear one.
There is also the fact that while the chance is much smaller that any of us will catch the virus while we are vaccinated, I would hate for us to be the weak link and catch it, and then pass it on to her.

How do you figure it's "financially and politically impossible". If things get bad enough and the CDC (which is what I think moves the needle for Disney) says it's a good idea, then they will.

I do have a trip planned for August 10 - 18. I have another planned in November for a few days. I do not want to go and have to wear a mask. I am fully vaxxed as well as my wife. I go to forget about the problems of the world not to have a constant reminder strapped to my face the entire time.

How is it not?

They are hiring and reopening at breakneck pace.

The overwhelming majority of Americans are done with restrictions.

If they put the restrictions back in place mass cancellations will follow.

Corporate America is done with restrictions they have to get back to making money.

Don’t forget it’s corporate America that owns the politicians on both sides.

They let the genie out of the bottle.

Good luck putting it back.

This is why some people are still apprehensive, or "doom and gloom". It's always, "COVID is over and we're not going back no matter what happens".

Do I think things will become restrictive again? No. The vaccines are doing a good job keeping things manageable. Do I think restrictions should be brought back if the situation warrants it, based on changing information? Yes.

If I have learned anything from all this it’s that what “should” happen doesn’t.

Just wondering, as usual! Did Disney refund anybody who cancelled because restrictions were lifted? If not they should not refund anyone who cancels because, in the unlikely event it happens, restrictions are brought back as someone suggested earlier.

Just wondering, how long did people think restrictions/lockdowns were going to continue for?
I figured they would continue until everyone had the opportunity to get vaccinated.

When restrictions where lifted I was somewhat surprised it felt a touch to early.

That’s why I suspect there was immense pressure on the administration from somewhere , I suspect corporate America.

I would also expect that same pressure is still there pushing to keep any return of restrictions at bay.

Honestly? Being at a theme park catered to families, I thought they would leave indoor masks and at least try to compromise with line spacing until the 5-12 year olds were eligible. It's a little wild that the "fill in all available space" has returned virtually overnight.
