Can't find the actual data that supports this claim. It says half the people in and "outbreak" were vaccinated, but how big was the group? Was it 1 person out of 2, or 10,000 out of 20,000? Makes a big difference.
The number is around 25. 100 total cases but half the cases were in unvaccinated children (everyone who keeps saying kids are not relevant in vaccinating should read that twice) and of the half that were adults half of those people were vaccinated. So half of half of a hundred is 25. It’s something to keep an eye on, but we knew there could/would be breakthrough infections.

I also find it interesting that in reaction to this “outbreak” Israel is going back to indoor masks and delaying allowing foreign tourists full access but they did not turn their abandoned vaccine passport system back on.

They were doing interviews with young unvaccinated people on a program I was watching last night and the reason being said over and over was that they didn’t want to get the vaccine not knowing what the long term effects were. Few just said they weren’t worrying about COVID because they were young. But the main thing said, at least in this program was they didn’t want to take a chance because 2 years or more down the road, there was not knowing what would happen to vaccinated people. I’m only the messenger.
They're taking this point directly from mis-information planted by anti-vaxxers through social media. They've continunlally moved the goalpost as each one of their dire warnings has failed to materialize. "Unknown long term side effects" will be their Alamo.

Is COVID-19 cases will go down lower soon by August or September/October if many people will getting vaccinated enough to end the pandemic in USA? @GoofGoof

A second push on adult vaccination and a hopefully an fda auth/push for 2-11 before the fall weather would REALLY be a good idea.

not fool proof…but you go with the best method and this is it

Sad but true. The very rare heart inflammation has them foaming at the mouth and jumping up and down like a 4year old having a tantrum.

The sad thing for our society is many of these people are so entrenched in their social media bubble that they don’t even realize they are being manipulated. The more you try to educate them or present facts the more they dig in. it’s tough to get past that wall.

I think we realize that…at least those that like facts and books and “learned” things since the start…that the disinformation is still prevalent and is now a crutch for the weak minded in defiance…

and the misinformation is to make money (domestically) or create chaos (internationally)

There will not be side effects that appear years later, because of how these things work. Once you get to 2 months (but probably sooner) the only thing left in your body from the vaccine are the antibodies and memory B&T cells your body made in response to the virus. After that the only thing that may change is a slow decrease in those things. Therefore, if you are going to have a side effect it’s going to appear before that.
I know that.. you know that.. they don’t want to listen.

I have friends who are clinging desperately (from my vantagepoint, anyway) to that notion as a reason to not get the vaccine. One even uses her doctor having basically said what you said as her reason to wait.
I still have one co-worker clinging to the “I don’t know what they put in it” line of “reasoning.” Another has weird theories about fertility rates.

Does her doctor have a reason for saying that to her? Or her doctor was saying that as a blanket statement.

I believe (and this is my assumption based on how she worded it when she told me) the conversation went something like:
Friend: I'm not at all interested in getting the vaccine yet. I mean, can you guarantee nothing will happen in the coming years because of the vaccine? I mean, they're so new and we don't even know how our bodies will respond to this sort of thing.
Doctor: No one can guarantee that with 100% certainty. We really don't know for sure.

The doctor was her rheumatologist and friend claimed her doctor "was fine" with her waiting. She (the friend) is in the "let's wait a few years and see if people experience any weird side effects that don't reveal themselves immediately" camp.

I see. I know my mom felt the same way but was highly encouraged by her doctor to get the vaccine.

My dad was practically first in line to get the vaccine despite many of his friends warning him about “all of the dangers!”

This whole thing has been pretty scary and confusing for lots of people.

I have a Facebook friend who posted this morning that she will not get her kids vaccinated because of this. I pointed out that the CDC has also said that there have been 3700 reported cases and 37 deaths of children from Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome due to COVID infection.

Nothing is 100% but it’s about as likely to have a side effect from the vaccine as it is unlikely that I will wake up tomorrow to find the world has been invaded by Lizard People.

There are very rare scenarios where having a seatbelt on in car accident will result in you dying from an otherwise survivable crash, but the scenarios where it would save you far out weigh these so we still choose to wear them.
