That didn’t take long.
Back to my playing in the street analogy: we all know another car is coming. Some just won’t get out of the way.

Get vaccinated.

Reports now that USA is 31% Delta.

After a month we should have a better idea where we are with this new variant causing havoc in the UK. This is why it's so bloody frustrating that they have abandoned basic restrictions, at least for another month or so.

I have always been on the cautious side with the virus and have been very pro-mitigation, but once we reached the point of everyone in the country having access to the vaccine, what is the point of continuing mitigation? At the current vaccination rate, another month isn't going to make a big difference. At some point that people have chosen not to get vaccinated are on their own.

I'm still vaccinated. Is this chance any COVID-19 variant will get me? Am I'm okay I don't wear masks or social distancing anymore?

I think we have heard this before with the many variants that are worse than the prior one. I'm not personally worried about any of the variants we have seen. I along with 144 million others in this country are vaccinated and shouldn't be worried. I would say its time to move on, but we already have and I don't think that is a mistake.
Right. Can't wait for the panic when epsilon hits!

What is frustrating? I’m vaccinated it was easy and free. I’ve read the research I have very little to worry about from any variant.

I have no idea what everyone is so worried about?

So some unvaccinated people get sick some will die. Maybe this whole thing has warped me but I could care less.

It’s like people who light fireworks off on the 4th out of their hand instead of lighting them correctly.

Am I suppose to care when they blow off a finger?

So exactly how do you define "proceeding with caution"?
Not telling people they are "good to go," as if that's a certainty. They're in pretty good shape, yes. Don't go jumping into a huge crowd of people indoors without masks, especially when you know there are unvaccinated people in the mix who are maskless.

Go to work, go to stores, go to restaurants (as I have done throughout the whole pandemic.) Be aware. Mask up indoors. (Most people in my town still do.)

It should be almost over, and then this is all moot. It would be over faster if everyone got vaccinated and used some common sense with a stronger variant making headway and potentially halting/reversing progress. How inane is it that more people will get sick, have long term consequences, or die from something we all could have been vaccinated against? Do we need any more proof of the idiocy of some of the American public? Some don't seem to believe a thing is happening unless it's right in front of their face, even though the same thing keeps happening over and over. It's a shame.

Children are not eligible yet. They can still suffer from coronavirus. It seems a lot of people forget about that. I've been working very hard to protect my kids this whole time, and it's much harder to do so now that most places have eliminated masks and social distancing. For example, my kids needed new shoes and needed to try them on/get fitted in person. I had to research shoe stores that still require masks. Luckily I found one, but I had to drive 30 minutes into the next state to get to this store. Because there was no way I'm bringing them into a store of people without masks. When I go grocery shopping I either have to go at night when my husband is home to watch the kids or drop them at my parents' house. It's all very exhausting and frustrating.

There are 131 new cases in Israel, that means 40ish people vaccinated and we don’t know their other comorbidities. Lab tests have shown the vaccine is still highly effective against delta. It’s not time to panic currently.

It’s highly unlikely there will be any need to reach the “panic” stage. We have vaccinated enough people with an effective enough vaccine, that we aren’t going back to January 2020. (And neither is Israel).

But there may indeed be regions of concern coming.
