So far, except for some weekends, the parks haven't been hitting their very reduced capacity. Disney keeps expanding the AP bucket and the CM bucket because there are precious few guests staying at the resorts. And then even with that, they aren't hitting max (very reduced) capacity.

International visitors can't come here because their countries won't allow them to go a known hotspot: The USA.

States with a huge tourism population that goes to Florida, namely, the Northeastern states, tell their people don't go to hotspots in the US, and if you do, you have to quarantine for two weeks when you come back. And one of those named hotspots? Florida.

And given Florida's bad reputation for managing COVID, especially with the news the governor is making, wanting a bill of rights for student to get COVID if they want, even if the states didn't discourage travel to Florida, most people won't go. The NE knows what COVID is like when it gets bad. Hardly anyone wants to be part of that in another state.

In the NE things are opening up... and people aren't showing up... they don't want to take the risk. They ain't going to Florida where the positivity rate is five times higher.

Unless Floridians residents step up a lot more than they're already doing... there are no other guests to attend WDW.

This thread shows why the US has such an issue with dealing with Covid. Too many people who believe we are in a zombie apocalypse, this is a hoax or we should be doing nothing. Its mind boggling how so many have their head in the sand.

With what Florida has done has made sure that it will be awhile before international guests return. For every Yahoo that loves no restrictions in place add at least twice as many who will refuse to go to Disney now.

And some people seem to not have their respiratory system connected to their nostrils, at least if you look at the ways masks are inappropriately worn. Kinda hard to see when Florida will be destination for anyone wishing not to catch covid.

Ive never watched a parade, fireworks nor stayed in the parks at night. Those aren’t my thing. There were signature dining options, but traveling with a 16 year old I opted out. There were three new rides that weren’t open last Summer. I also got to ride some of my favorites multiple times.
I’m sorry to disappoint you, but we had a really great time.

As far as the parades and fireworks we all know why those were temporarily paused. With capacity restrictions being eliminated maybe they will return soon.

They are increasing attendance levels in all the parks so while they are not eliminated they are easing up on restrictions.

Older people were "locked away" in nursing homes and a lot of them still died, so that doesn't seem to work to well.

I was paying for them before and never thought about it. I also only participate in about 5% of the activities offered on a cruise. I do what I enjoy.
Yes Im aware occupancy restrictions haven’t been lifted, but I thought they were given the green light to if they choose.

I enjoy reading this thread with the wide variety of viewpoints, avalanches of data, multitudes of graphs and entertaining discourse. Ok, sometimes a poster may become abrasive. This thread has legs! Any place that stimulates so much interaction has got to be quite a place. Yes, WDW is the bar on how an entertainment venue should handle the COVID19 issue with its resilience and proactivity. International travelers will come to WDW well before SHD. With the U.S. you can choose to go to WDW or not regardless of others opinions. It is all in how you look at things and I see a glass half full not half empty.

I'm sorry...I thought the rest of my post made it clear. I wish people would be considerate of others. I feel like the poster I quoted (and I could be inferring a meaning that was not intended) was implying that those at risk (the elderly) know who they are, and they're the ones who need to stay isolated.

I sensed, based on the rest of your post, that you weren’t being serious in that first part, though I wasn’t entirely sure. Sorry for being slow on the uptake, and thanks for clarifying!
