Again I never stated the place is packed. I stated they have increased park capacity on a few occasions to allow more people in. I'm not an employee and have been in the damn parks continuously. Obviously you haven't otherwise you could clearly see it's busier than it's been.
From partipating in threads on other Disney forums where people actually go to the parks I would say you are correct. Lines are getting longer and crowds are increasing. Im glad I got to go when they first opened.

Disney has a capacity percentage limit on people staying at the resorts and entering each park, hence the reservation system. That has not increased per multiple insiders. They also haven’t “reached” that particular limit, whether it’s 17%,20%,25%.. pick a number. Except for occasions on a few weekends and holidays. With that being said...they may be approaching those limits a bit more now which makes it seem that they actually are letting more people in the parks. They are not.. they are still going with the same amount intended from when they opened but never hit. Yes they maybe more crowded but it’s not because they increased their original capacity. Whew.

Has Disney ever stated what their capacity limits are? No. No one on here has any idea if Disney is letting more people in or not.
I choose to believe well known insiders here that have given great advice, reports and are in the know more then you or I. I’ll stick with them above someone going to the parks and saying it seems crowded. Bringing it back around to the thread.. just like I believe scientists that have spent their lives figuring out what’s going on with viruses over internet posters who “think” things.

Who are the well known experts you speak of. I would love to know what Disney’s actual capacity limits are. Do you have some numbers from your experts?
At this point it doesn’t matter? The parks are getting more crowded and most likely will continue to do so.

Scientists can be bought just as easily as politicians, if not easier.

I’ll say this just a one more time: it doesn’t matter what “perceptions” of the parks are.

Look for hotel occupancy, airline statistics...even rental cars if you can find them...

It’s not a six flags...no bookings, no customers.

We’ve been over why Annual passes and cast spending their off days are not a big deal.

But like everything with this issue/year...nobody believes what is right in front of you. Go with the numbers.

On our most recent trip (a few weeks ago), there was no availability at HS for the weekend of our stay. Then, out of nowhere, there was availability, and not only for the weekend, but the following days as well, which had previously been full.

Aren’t all the numerous crowd calendars based on wait times? If wait times are getting longer to me that’s a pretty good indication more people are visiting the parks.

Buckets are being moved around to allocate different amounts to different groups. Does not mean capacity is increased just a bucket of ressies was dropped into that slot.

No one is denying that there have been more people visiting the parks. That STILL doesn't mean that capacity has been increased.
I don’t know if it has or hasn’t, but I do know the limits are probably pretty high even it’s only 50%. How often does Disney reach capacity in any given year.
