Pfizer has scheduled a review of their Phase 3 with the regulatory agency which approves vaccines. And everyone in the government who talks about the possibility of an October vaccine (whether tentatively or bullishly) are referring to Pfizer's. So, it's likely not bluster.

I KNOW I am probably in a minority when I say this...but I am hoping there will be some sort of system in place that makes it so people HAVE to get vaccinated. Kind of like the vaccine passport Fauci was talking about in the early days. I'm onboard with that idea. Or have y'all seen contagion? They used a wristband barcode. Of course people will be up in arms about it, but what's everyone been saying recently..."it is what it is..."

not a national mandated requirement, but its possible for places to make it their own rule. For example, in CA at some colleges you cannot move in the dorms unless you prove you have all your vaccinations up to date.

Well, this condititon can come about from a virus (and the vaccine is a presumably 'safe' virus) or from an immune reaction to an infection (and the vaccine is a 'safe' infection). But it can also come about from a dozen other reasons and 60% of the time, its source is unknown.

Don't know how they can pin this to the vaccine. OTOH, don't know what the established criteria is for halting the vaccine: For example, how many cases of a reaction like this would indicate a link? Does it need to be more than one? Is this serious enough to stop the vaccine? These are things I don't know.

Can it be worse than all the side effects they list during all the medication commercials?

Let’s hope they deliver. This is so loaded that surely Pfizer knows better than to knowingly produce a dangerous vaccine. The momentary prestige would not be worth the lasting brand damage. Unfortunately, a lot of nuance is lost in the news due to lack of understanding or lack of research. People (including those in power) read this as “great! A cure by Thanksgiving!” when it will be 2021 before most of us mere mortals get a shot. Healthcare professionals then Chris Pratt then old people then us. Not sure which group Bob Chapek is in.

It will be interesting to find out when this person was inoculated and how fast this side effect developed.

I HATE this pandemic and I want it to be over ASAP, but I hope they are not moving too fast to get this vaccine cleared. Better to do it right the first time than have it become a screwy situation. If it takes til the spring, then so be it.

Ya know, just from the three leading contenders there are 7 major pharma companies and universities involved. And about two dozen major world governments and governmental agencies looking over their shoulders. Don't know why people are thinking there might be some shenanigans involved.

I think one individual we see a lot on TV wishes he had that kind of power, but there are too many that won’t let it happen. Just make sure your vaccine has been given the all-clear by all the major players before you make an appointment for your shot(s) and cancel your bleach order on Amazon. Keep your UV lamp. Winter is coming.
