You never answered the question of the chart’s source. And you haven’t explained what point you think it makes.

I gave you the source. The Florida Department of Health. I have no clue who prettied it up. But it’s accurate, I checked.

I wasn’t making a point. I was answering another posters question. You invented a point I was making; then attempted to argue with me about that invented point.

Where did you get the graph? It came from somewhere, right?

So in the midst of a raging pandemic, how long do you suggest we wait to make decisions? A couple months? A year?

I suggest leaders don’t wait and make decisions now and continuously based on the information presented across many components. Perhaps you think I’m thrilled with every decision made between January and now? I’m not. Some things I supported. Some things I didn’t.

Yeah, a text message. You want my friends number?

Maybe....... lol

Don't know why it had to go to this level to get that answer.

I wonder if there is a place you can download that data in Excel format vs PDF.

Honest question if anyone knows.

I do apologize if I come off antagonistic.

You'll have to believe it is good natured.

OK. So on this WDW board... do you think, given the currently available information about the situation in Florida and elsewhere, that WDW (and Universal) should be open and that people should visit?

Yes. I’m okay with WDW given their safety protocols in place, and also that we haven’t seen any significant spread from Uni since opening.

Personally, if I was a local and an AP holder, I would likely visit. But being from out of state, would I visit right now? Very Unlikely.

There is a difference here.

While the source of the graph's data may be the state's website, how are we to know if the data is actually true that is listed on it?

Somebody may have falsely created that graph with bogus data and figured no one is going to accurately check it all out.

That is why when information or data is presented, a source for it should be presented also. So that people can independently verify its accuracy.

Look at as a reference listing like at the end of a scientific article.

The more you don't want to supply the source, the more it looks like your tying to hide something and the graph is bogus.

Not saying you are, but your actions give food for thought.

Also, I thought you had to go back to work?

Check for yourself? Like I did?

Let me ask you this.

Say the source of the graph was Steve from Fresno. Would that matter?

But if it was Steve from FoxNews. Would that matter?

What about Steve from CNN. Would that matter?

And I’m waiting for my kids to finish swim lessons. I’m not in the office.

yes, it does matter. Thats how reputable journalism works.

I really don't understand this back and forth, a little entertaining to follow, but if the numbers shown are verified accurate than the person who put the numbers into a graph really doesn't matter. Unless I'm missing something here
What your missing is that some times people post information and data that isn't true or isn't in context. They have an agenda.

They are hoping you will blindly believe it. By asking for the source, we make sure they are honest.

We are just trying to determine if they are accurate. I can put up any graph I like and say its accurate, but should you believe me?

If I was local I’d certainly think about visiting DAK for the outdoor attractions that are open. That seems pretty safe to me. Maybe Epcot to listen to Jammitors and Maricahi and walk around the showcase but I wouldn’t go into any of the Pavilions.

So yeah... the actual parks being open isn’t my concern. My concern is Florida allowing parks to open and encouraging visitors when the case numbers are so crazy high. That seems irresponsible to me.

Point taken. I get why you and some others feel they way.

Exactly this. Not necessarily a park outbreak (which could happen) but its the constant flow of people in and out of the area and the risk tourists can bring to an area that is concerning. This flow can infect people in and around Orlando, people on public transport, and the cast members. Thats why the parks shouldn't be open.
