Yes because he is the only one that matters! People literally had their cancer treatments postponed during the last one but hey they don’t count just your guy!
Yep because that’s what I meant that he’s the only one that matters! It’s not even worth engaging you you’re just gonna twist things and be mean.

I’m thinking of the cancer patients who have been mandated back at work who could die- or my 72 year old former teacher who works there part time... But nah... come get your dole whip and spread disease.

Doctors in Florida in today's press conference repeatably said they are very concerned due to the fear that is out there that people aren't coming to the hospital for urgent care and not concerned about being able to handle covid patient load.

I am so sick of hearing ‘well people die every day’

If it is your significant other/child/parent/best friend and they die do you shrug your shoulders and say ‘oh well people die every day!’. Jeeeeez wake up. These people losing their lives have loved ones that are suffering. These people DIED ALONE FACE DOWN IN A HOSPITAL BED STRUGGLING FOR THEIR LAST BREATH.

all death is a tragedy but especially those that could have possibly been prevented with quality leadership and strict measures to contain this deadly disease.
Said perfectly.

And thousands of these deaths were preventable.

It’s very difficult to gauge...

I’ve said from the start that Disney wants no part of reopening...nothing since has moved me off that stance.

But they have to balance vacation club, the nba (which they want)...and the whole “we’re in it for the stockholders” stuff.

But Florida is hit trending right...hard to argue if you want to be taken seriously. And orange and Osceola counties aren’t exactly leading the lack.

As you know...it’s one thing for Disney to say “we’re safe”...

But they have no control of who’s driving in, who’s flying in, and who’s interacting with who coming on and off that site in a 75 mile radius of Florida.

It’s tough...it’s a tall order.
Frankly I’m shocked the NBA players want to do this. They keep playing up the ‘bubble’... but seriously? Riiiight
They could also use the NBA as a scapegoat to not open. The NBA is concerned about other guests and that employees will be tending to other guests, they could see it as a win for keeping the season going, and having a reason not to open the parks. (although I'm not optimistic we will see sports happen at all this summer)

So says you. We shall see.

So says all available evidence. At most 10-20% of NYC/NJ residents have been infected with the virus. You need at least 60% for herd immunity - and even then that assumes people are immune for longer than a year for herd immunity to even be viable. Do research, it helps.

Yes if we would have closed the boarder sooner and not been so afraid to insult the Chinese communist government!

We never closed the border. 40,000+ people still came over from China after it was closed, without any tests or even a mild health screening.

We could have used the time to set up a national testing and contact tracing protocol as all of our allies did, to close the economy sooner, etc.

If you say so. Plenty of data out there that indicates otherwise. We shall see I guess.

edit to add....

Your article even points out that it could be far lower.

so how would the US closing the borders to china have prevented the strain that came from Italy that came from wuhan?
I said close the borders didn’t specify a country to keep out . What I did say was we didn’t want to rock the boat with Chinese government but that didn’t mean keep just them out!

You know what's funny?
Today was first full day of my county requiring masks everywhere. Grabbed milk at the grocery store today. Every person was wearing one. That wasn’t the case before. It looks has been 50/50. So this is obviously anecdotal, but for my grocery store, the mask mandate made a difference as far as people wearing them.
