I don't know why the open now crowd feels so hard done by. The US particularly is managing this pandemic more skewed to your whims.

Now the rest of the world watches with fascination (and horror).

One thing proven time and time again that the ignore and suppress strategy has not worked for anyone. Unfortunately that mistake looks like it needs to be repeated.

Agreed, the ignore and suppress strategy is how the pandemic started.....

I think he was referring to all the posts saying, How can WDW open now ”insert latest case number here“
Honest question, do you even care about the "and Walt Disney World" part of this thread? Or is it just Coronavirus general discussion to you?

Every single post your account has ever made is in this thread.

Interesting, the way this reads if you are tested positive multiple times on different days it is counted as a new positive test, from the Florida doh site. If so that would kinda skew the positive case numbers

edited to remove the question if it skewed Percent positive

The economies in the EU are tied to one another. It would be like one state staying open and the rest closing and expecting the economy of that one state to thrive.
Since we can't turn back time and have a redo we will never know.
Did we find out who they are and what “their plan” entails? Sounds very nefarious!
You know, those people. The ones who say you should get a “flu shot.”

What sucks is so many get to avoid the horror because of the sacrifice of others.

Can’t help it, your here 24/7 whether we want to see fallacies and incorrect data or not.
Got to give you credit though, your a warrior who doesn’t budge.
again show me where I have posted incorrect data, I believe have asked you before to back that Incorrect claim up to no response, but you keep claiming it

I have posted my opinion from time to time but made it very obvious, anyone can disagree with my opinion, doesn't bother me and glad people do.

And then, back to my original question. Do you care about the "and Walt Disney World" part of this thread? Or is it just Coronavirus general discussion to you?

If the virus was serious enough, yes. I have read about the depopulation of the Americas after the introduction of small pox and influenza. I knew the possibility that new viruses with that sort of devastating potential could develop in the future. I admit to not thinking the current crop of American politicians and many of its citizens would view this virus as serious enough to take as radical steps as they did.

But I did foresee an economic slowdown of unknown severity. This isn't 1957 or 1968 when people read their local newspaper and watched a half hour or 1 hour news program. There was no way people weren't going to see the pictures coming out of Europe and NYC, and friends descriptions on social media and message boards like this and not take their own steps toward "self-preservation." I just underestimated the percentage of people that would. I thought it would be more like 20-30% in favor of staying at home as much as possible.
We never got the choice, but whats done is done.

Whenever you say the m word you are incorrect. We can’t discuss it here anymore so we should end it right here. That’s just one there are many.
Let’s get back to WDW and Covid.

If we all agree that masks are effective, why can't Disney World open? Why do some people think lockdowns are still the answer? If masks are good enough for essential stores we visit every single week, it seems like a common ground solution to wear a mask and keep away from close contact. I'm at the point where it feels like we have no choice but to move forward. Mandate rules to the extent that you can and decide for yourself if it's enough before you enter any situation.

It's about mitigating risk. Nothing is 100% effective beyond staying home. If cases become overwhelming, then some things where a lot of people attend will need to close to prevent more mass outbreak.
