My son is not autistic but he does have special needs. I find that class action lawsuit rediculous and despise people who abuse the DAS. IMO, Disney is by far the MOST accommodating place on the planet (on its large scale) for people with disabilities. At least in my experience.
I have 2 autistic sons. They ASKED to wait in line for 3 hours for Mine Train. I turned to hubby and said "See you in three hours!!!" and took off like a shot to do some shopping and have a churro. 😂

Legally, I'm not sure they can. They can't just add untold numbers of points to the following year.

We lucked into a 7mo studio reservation at Grand California. . . . stay begins 4/13. I hope they'll have a plan in place if the parks close that doesn't bend over DVC members.

If YOU aren't checking yourself for a fever and other symptoms every day, you're not doing yourself any favors...
I have light cold symptoms (nasal congestion and runny nose). COVID-19? Who knows. It's not like they will test me since I have no fever, cough, or shortness of breath and have not traveled anywhere further than an hour from home in months. However, I AM STAYING AT HOME until I see how this "cold" develops. Why? Because I'm a caring citizen who thinks of others before myself. That's why I slept in the other room instead of in my bed with my wife, like normal. It's why I'm not touching everything in the house with unclean hands. It's why I'm not going out to work today or to our friend's this evening. Because my healthy immune system might be besting COVID-19 at the moment and I just don't know it. More likely, it's a different cold virus, but I'm not going to chance exposing others unnecessarily. We need more of this type of behavior and selfless thinking to keep this from become a problem it doesn't need to be.

Many will see this as unnecessary and idiotic. However, I'd much rather listen to the morons rant later "See! It was nothing!" if prudent measures reduce the spread than to carry on as normal and let the sick and elderly pay for our selfishness.

I'm all for churro and shopping therapy at anytime but it's a special gift from the baby Jesus when one has a 3-hour window away from the fam!

I would reschedule. Not for fear of virus, but simply because given the state of Europe I do not anticipated DLP being open much longer. As complete speculation, I am gonna guess that they announce a shutdown of DLP Mar 14th that extends at least till April 25th at the minimum. Just complete speculation and J hope I am totally wrong, but Europe is escalating exponentially and they are desperately trying to keep DLP open but I just don’t think it will happen. Not sure where you are coming from, but if you are from the US, flights are likely going to be extremely limited later, and require rerouting, and to further complicate matters, they may start imposing 14 day self quarantined if visiting Europe.

A few hours later and what a difference it makes. I’m actually hoping it closes now to make refunds easier. The sane side of me says cancel everything, take stock and plan again. It was for an anniversary but the world is kind of falling apart a little. It’ll be an anniversary to remember for sure.

Disagree, it is WHEN not if. Cases where countries are effectively testing cases are rising. Like here in the UK. To have a flippant attitude is ignorant to people who this could affect seriously.
Good job quoting a month old post. And accusing me of a flippant attitude is not great either. You have no idea my family or needs. So please do not assume.

The virus has been running in my country for 2 months now. We can only hope for good outcomes while protecting the elderly and at risk. I now am unable to visit family at all due to these policies in places which sucks more than you know. Granted they are under hospice care but I am far more caring than your assumption post ever could realize.

If there are no sporting events going on, how can ESPN continue to operate without the idea of possible lay-offs?

What's your employers attendance policy though? It's going to take employers being willing to not apply their policies like they have in the past. And more flexibility to be able to happen. It isn't as easy for some to say I'll stay home just in case, it can result in their whole ability to support their family being taken away. And with 3 sick parents to look after as well as my kid, I CAN'T lose my job. Off a week or 2 financially it would be okay, but with current attendance policies I'd be fired for that long. It's just put people in a lose/lose situation until employers are working with their employees through all this.

Probably was already commented on earlier, but...don't like that greedy attitude, DIS! Booked Hoop-Dee-Doo for your party of 8? Canceling? No money back on that. But you can guarantee that (if open and willing customers show up) they will rebook those seats you canceled for full price, making double on the same seats. Nice job being jack@$$'s Disney!

It's wild they have not shut down the parks yet. That place can't be much safer than being on a cruise ship

Being in a confined indoor space with the same air being circulated around is much different than out in an open-air theme park. Of course people should be cautious with any large gathering, but this is much much better than being stuck on a boat.
