If YOU aren't checking yourself for a fever and other symptoms every day, you're not doing yourself any favors...
Steps Disney should take if they close their parks.
1. Guarantee every Cast Member their current Salary for up to 2 to 4 months even if they have to close that long.
2. Buy Seaworld and do the same for all employees in those parks.
3. Cut all expansion until after the parks are reopened. I know many will hate this but in the long run the good will gained by doing 1 and 2 above will more than make up for it and the money to do it has to come from somewhere.
4. Offer to buy the hotels by Disney Springs and the Swann, Dolphin and Cove and do the same for their employees.
5. Offer the timeshares off property deals to give their owners some WDW benefits for the same fee the Disney Springs Hotels pay.
These steps and a few other would help Orlando and Tampa recover from this disaster.

Funny story at our house...my youngest is OBSESSED with trying to stay home from school, so he makes me take his temperature daily, and this has been going on since before Christmas.
Smart kid! That's right after the Chinese botched their initial response.
When you say salary do you mean hourly as well? Or just managers?

Yes. And all of this voluntary quarantine stuff is useless without some form of guaranteed income. All too many will choose going to work, conducting business as usual if the choice is no income coming in.
You're just saying that so you can snap up all those $75 shares, aren't you?

Every Cast Member. Hourly and Salary. Pay is pay. No OT but full base pay. As a stockholder, we can afford it and if Universal didn't follow suit they would lose all their local passholders and Team Members. These two companies owe it to Orlando and their employees to make sure life goes on.

My husband and I went to Smackdown on Friday, and I am thinking it is probably going to be our last "big event" for awhile. I was surprised to see wrestlers still interacting with the crowd and going over barriers, etc. We wondered if Wrestlemania would make it, and that's before all of these other decisions early this week...
I wonder how that will play out.,

Absolutely. There are 2 groups being economically impacted.
- infected people without paid sick days. The government should mandate all employers require workers follow quarantine and require employers to pay workers for it. They can give tax breaks and emergency loans to small businesses to cover the cost. The big guns like Disney can afford to do this without government assistance. It’s a short term problem but very important to stop the spread.
- People who will see reduced or no work during the economic slowdown from social distancing. This includes working parents who have to stay home because their kid’s schools are closed. This is going to be a longer term problem and much more expensive to fix. It’s not practical to expect employers to make these people whole indefinitely. That will have to come mostly or all from the government.

DAS is perfectly adequate for autistic children. It's NOT adequate for people who demand front-of-line access and pitch a fit when they don't get what they want. (Speaking as an autism mom who actually got into quite the verbal war with a group member because said group member couldn't grasp the fact that a system that can be abused is of no use to anyone.)

My son is not autistic but he does have special needs. I find that class action lawsuit rediculous and despise people who abuse the DAS. IMO, Disney is by far the MOST accommodating place on the planet (on its large scale) for people with disabilities. At least in my experience.
