Constant Fast Pass

But if that person leaves with your car, comes back, and parks in a disabled parking spot to pick up YOU, then the pass is still benefiting YOU, and is being used as intended. Because its assumed that YOU are unable to walk greater distances to further parking spaces.

Totally separate from "teen daughter using dad's car to park in handicap spot at mall" scenario. And the entire point I've been making in this thread is that this sort of abuse IS COMMON and a PROBLEM with the cards that Disney issues.

It is a problem for YOU because you are obsessing on it. You are judging people based on what YOU think their problem may be.

...NO I'm NOT. :brick:

You people are the ones twisting what I'm saying into personal attacks on disabled card users. Where in this thread have I suggested that people need proof of ailment to obtain the card? I AM suggesting that measures COULD be taken to stop abuse of the cards.

Hypothetically, anyone and everyone could easily obtain and abuse the cards.
Actually, you are.

The entire point I've been making in this thread is that you can't POSSIBLY know who is or isn't abusing the cards and you most certainly can't know that this sort of abuse is COMMON.

Personally, I don't care why people have GACs. It is none of my business, and I'm just glad I don't need one (same goes for wheelchairs/ECVs).

Common? Or just common for you because you supposedly see this rampant "abuse" going on unchecked throughout the parks? Or rather, because you had to wait a few extra minutes to get your jolly on riding Small World because of someone in a wheelchair that you just KNEW didn't need it, along with the crew with that person? Or perhaps you had to wait in line for a bus because of the same crew?

More like, every single time I'm in a long standby line, theres always that group that skips by in the Fastpass line 5 times before I even get to ride once, flashing their pass like they're VIP, then happily running and giggling. You have far too must trust in humanity if you don't think people with no morale take frequent advantage of this.

Like I said before, nothing like waiting 90 minutes for Rock 'n' Rollercoaster while dad + kids ride 5 times in a row with no wait, using grandma's card.

So this has been not much more than a narcissistic hissy-fit than any real complaint about those who are genuinely handicapped and may need assistance from family and/or friends? What utter self-absorbed prattle....

I don't think 'morale' means what you think it means.

^Ok, integrity then?

Again, when did I actually attack people who legitimately need the pass? I also know that the cards are for the individual and their group.

No one said there wasn't abuse. Everyone acknowledges that there are abusers out there but YOU are adament that people using GACs without the written user are abusers. Then you backpedalled and said well there are exceptions to the rule, but you are missing the point there is no rule that family members can't use it without the written user. YOU are also the one to bring up Disabled parking permits of which you obviously didn't know the rules to.

As I said, if you wanted to just leave your original statements as "it should be better regulated against misuse and here are my great suggestions," fine, but you didn't. You pointed fingers at who you felt were wrong despite the rules. Although I have seen people I was suspicious of misuse, I wouldn't say it's "common" nor would I openly point fingers. The only way those people can be caught is a better screening process at GS but as soon as they do that, someone is going to complain of personal violation or stereotyping.

Other than that, just like I suggested, one good way to help with the fastpass portion is to designate a stamp that says "CareGiver FastPass" that is only given to parents or cargivers of adults with care needing, like cognitively challenged adults.

OK, so now I'm going to stop responding...

I'm sorry if you've felt that people have been ganging up on you throughout this thread, but the above statements clearly demonstrate that you have either a vivid imagination or are simply delusional. "Every time"? And these perpetrators always "skip by" 5 times?

You can carry on in your own little world. Happily, the individuals who have acknowledged my input to this thread have likely also seen enough not to take you seriously.

oh, so now you change your point? Didn't I just read where you said you were standing your ground against family use until otherwise proven by a CM?

You are still assuming that dad and 5 kids weren't on the pass. Did you ask to see their pass and IDs for every person in the party? Yeah, I thought not. And if you are seeing these "common abusers" every single time you're in a long queue, I would began to second guess my luck and karma.... or maybe my views of the world and their "morale"

Only a slight exaggeration. I've witnessed it on numerous occasions. Same family. Yes, 5 times. Yes, literally running down the queue. Don't tell me what I have and have not seen. I'm positive if you talked personally (outside of work where they most likely won't discuss it) to CMs who work at Disney attractions, they would confirm that it happens very frequently.

Umm. I meant that the card is for the individual plus their group, meaning yes the individual must be present with the group. Not separate.

how about, instead of staring at every party in the FP lane and cataloging what piece of paper they have in their hands, you just pay attention to those in your party and enjoy the day?

I'm done with you. You keep changing your own words. You have been corrected on your assumed uses of GAC. You have stated your[wrong] opinions. My husband and I have had some laughs about this. Done.

Actually I did not change my own words at all and I have literally yet to be corrected on my stance that the intended individual on the card must be present to use the alternate entrance. You say one thing, actual CMs say otherwise.

Opinions can't be wrong. I feel sorry for the CMs that have to deal with people like you, as you've already replied to one in this thread that you'd threaten them the instant they tell you something you don't want to hear.

I don't think thelookingglass is going to like this response, but...

I was once given a FastPass by a CM that didn't have a specific time listed on it. This was on my last visit, but I'll be damned if I remember what was written on it. I'm tempted to say "Admit One". It was the same size as a FastPass receipt.

This started with this random guy who approached myself, my dad, and my brother outside of RnR as headed toward the standby line. It was in the evening and they were all out of FPs for the day. This guy just walked up to us and said "here you go" and gave us two unused regular FPs from earlier in the day. He said it was his and his sons' who had changed his mind about riding RnR.

Two FPs, but three us. We went over the FP line and approached the CM "on guard" who was collecting FPs. We showed our two and asked if all three of us could get on. He reached into his pouch and handed me that unspecified-time pass for use up ahead in the FP queue.

I'm not really sure what these versions of the FP would be used for normally, or if that's normally how you obtain them (the CM at the queue).
