Trip Report *Completed* The Rain Filled Graduation and Cancer Free Celebration Trip

Hey everyone!
First off let me start by saying this is my first trip report and I am very excited to share my trip with all of you! Secondly, I am going to freely admit that this TR will take me forever to finish since I start residency on Monday haha

Just a quick introduction to the trip:
When? June 6th - June 16th 2014
Where? Port Orleans French Quarter, our recent favorite hotel
Why? My mom is one year cancer free and I just graduated from medical school!
Who? In order of the picture below: My dad, myself (Megan), my mom, my sister Jill's boyfriend Nick, my sister Jill, and my sister Betta

Ok so Day 1 My Dad and I were very excited to be in the airport!

Our flight was pretty terrible actually. We had a lot of turbulence, so much so that I fell over in the bathroom on the plane haha. However, if you ask my Dad it was smooth sailing (mainly because he slept through the whole thing). Seriously though, I don't think I ever landed so hard haha but it was all good because we made it to Florida!!!
I put my Magic Band on as soon as we landed

Ok so I mentioned this in my PTR but we have always rented a car in Disney, but this year we decided not to so going on DME was a first for us!
Here is our DME family selfie (my sisters didn't come until the next day)…it was super popular on Facebook haha

Anyway so I thought DME was pretty great, we barely waited at all and got to the hotel by 11:30 am. I didn't really mind the video…but I also never saw the old one. I will also admit that I was only half paying attention because I was answering some phone calls for residency stuff. I missed the Disney sign because I was on the phone I did get a picture of our hotel though!

Oh, and on a side note at a red light we saw this sign and all three of us thought it said gourmet walk in medical care instead of gourmet pizza haha

Ok so anyway, I am already rambling. When we got off the bus the most unexpected thing happened! The one cast member was standing there with our name on an iPad! I NEVER EXPECTED IT! I almost walked right past her! So she said because we did online check in our room was already ready AND she surprised us by giving us "I'm Celebrating" pins! My sister Betta called ahead and told them I was celebrating graduation and my mom was celebrating cancer free and they already had the pins made for us (although to be fair they got confused and made my moms a graduation pin too haha but so much Disney magic already)!

Basically we spent like 2 seconds in our room, just long enough to get changed (into the clothes I insisted we pack in our carry ons even though my parents thought I was insane) and off to the Magic Kingdom we went! First I had to pose with my new pin!

Here are my parents at the Magic Kingdom…let me say thank goodness I was wearing sunglasses because I was tearing up I was so excited. Let me also say it was hot…probably because I'm from Buffalo and we had an especially horrible winter but boy was I grateful for that change of clothes

We got inside and took some obligatory pictures with the Memory Maker

Then…we were starving. Since we usually had a car we rarely ate on Disney property except for breakfast so this trip was our first chance to try new restaurants. I was standing there suggesting things to eat (since I did a disturbing amount of research) and we ended up just going to Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant because it was close and we were hungry. (We did initially look at Casey's Corner but I have a weird thing about only eating a certain brand of hot dogs from home and my mom doesn't even like them so we said no to that).

My mom and I got kids nuggets and mac and cheese and my dad got the adult nuggets. I thought it was all really good! (also, so much food comes with kids meals its insane!)

On a side note my family really got into me taking pictures of food (although as you will see usually there was at least one bite out of it because we were always starving haha). My dad would always be like "we need to get a picture for the blog!" haha (blog was the term I used because trip report would have confused everyone)

Ok…next up is our actual day at MK and then dinner at the California Grill! Hopefully I can squeeze it in tomorrow before my graduation party

I'm glad someone else isn't into Dole Whips! I wanted to try a Lapu Lapu but I had a migraine when we were at the Polynesian so figured it was best if I didn't haha. Both of my parents are definitely good sports and doing everything we want them to do! It's always gonna be Go Bills! BILLieve

Yeah, not a Dole Whip fan so much. They are ok, but not my favorite by any stretch. Oh no, no Lapu Lapu? Those are on my hit list for sure. I thought they were good for headaches, I guess I better check the label next time

Seriously, your parents seem like good sports doing everything and smiling every pic. I understand they are celebrating and all, but still, to get involved and go on all the rides - thats awesome.

And I like the Billieve line but not sure I would go that far..lol. EJ Manuel and Sammy Watkins better come up big or it will be a long year. Go Pats! lol

Ok so before I continue with Day 6 I would just like to say that if anyone is on the fence about getting the Memory Maker package I would highly recommend it! I finally got around to looking at my printed pictures and all the Memory Maker ones are gorgeous, especially the ones with the borders and the Magic Shots!
Anyway, moving on.
As I mentioned before we had decided to go to Downtown Disney for lunch. Just as we were about to leave for the boat, however, it started thundering and lightening (again). So, it was to the bus stop for us. Basically I had kept saying how we should avoid the Downtown Disney bus because it usually takes forever and what not but we actually got one right away…AND its nice because it drops you off at Marketplace unlike the current boat situation!
Oddly enough I barely have any pictures of this trip to Downtown Disney…I must have not brought my camera thanks to the rain, so only have my mom's pictures!
We decided to eat at the Earl of Sandwich which was a first for us! I don't have any food pictures but I had the Original, Betta had the BBQ chicken wrap, my Mom had the Buffalo Chicken wrap and my Dad had the Thai Chicken salad. All of it was super good, and all very cheap.
We ended up running into Jill and Nick down there too. They were going to meet us at Hollywood Studios in the morning but Jill was not feeling well.

After eating it started to get sunny again so we did some serious shopping! Well, I did some serious shopping, not sure about everyone else haha. I can't ever resist buying stuff at Disney! I am looking to get a house soon too, so I kept picking up things for my imaginary house (for example, dish towels, an ornament, salad tossing things, etc). I also bought my persons present in the kitchen store…I thought the wine called Once Upon a Vine was so cute!!
My sister and I also made a stop in Goofys Candy store for some goodies and got my Dad this rice crispy treat in the shape of a Turkey Leg. All trip long he kept talking about Turkey Legs (even though he has never had one) so we thought it was funny!

Since it was sunny we were able to take the boat back to the hotel

It was a little chilly for the pool, but we did take some time to relax in the hot tub.
Since it was one day before my Mom's official one year cancer free anniversary we decided to all get a drink at Mardi Groggs in case we didn't see Jill and Nick the next day. I finally found my favorite drink there…the white super fruit sangria, it was delicious!
I find it very appropriate that my mom is wearing her BILLieve shirt (the Buffalo Bills breast cancer awareness shirt)!

After getting drinks we headed out to Hollywood Studios again. There was this super adorable girl on the bus telling Betta and I about her day and she was telling us her room number so we could come over and watch Frozen hahaha the mom was like so embarrassed (the little girl was just horrified that Betta has never seen Frozen).
Anyway we got to Hollywood Stuidos with some time to kill before dinner so I had suggested going over to the Art of Animation for drawing class. I had never done it before, but it always looks so cool on everyone's trip reports! My parents didn't really want to do it so they decided they would meet up with us later. Betta and I waited in line but just missed the cut off for the next class so we ended up getting out of line and heading over to One Man's Dream. I had actually never gone through One Man's Dream, but had read about it, and was pleasantly surprised by how cool it was. I tend to love pretty much any museum as it is so I was bound to love it. I did miss the end of the museum though because they announced that the movie was starting so Betta and I went to the theatre. My parents had actually ended up in One Mans Dream too and watched the movie before us so they left when we were entering. The movie was seriously so cute and very informative!

After One Mans Dream we headed over to the Sci Fi Diner for dinner! I was sooo excited to eat here because I heard such great things about it.
So…as I walked in to check in (after having a hard time finding it…for some reason I can never figure out how Hollywood Studios is organized) I slipped and fell right on my one knee. The floor was so slippery from all the rain! Obviously everyone came to my attention as Disney Cast Members do but I was trying so hard to continue checking in and let them know it was just 4 of us but I couldn't hold back the tears so I made Betta do it haha. Betta was like "are you crying because you are embarrassed or because it hurt?" It was because it hurt…all of my weight basically landed on my one knee, which also happens to be the knee in which I had just gotten over a stress fracture. Goodness it really hurt! All the Cast Members offered me ice but I figured I could power through it! Anyway, my mom felt super bad about it so decided to give me my birthday present early…Lambie from Doc McStuffins!! *yes, yet again I acknowledge the fact that I'm like 2 years old

For obvious reasons I love Doc McStuffins, and lambie is seriously so adorable! That definitely cheered me up!
What also cheered my up was how cool the Sci Fi Diner is!!! I was really blown away by it, no pictures on the internet could have prepared me for how it looks in real life!
I had read before that a lot of times even with a reservation you wait awhile to be seated, but we got seated right away (probably because I fell haha).

We weren't all that hungry so we all just ordered appetizers.
My mom and I both got the Buffalo Popcorn Chicken, Betta got the Fried Dill pickles and my Dad got the Chicken Wings. Oh, I also got a chocolate milkshake which I thought I deserved after falling haha. I don't have any food pictures, I must have been somewhat distraught haha. First off, I am pretty pleased that they call the Wings Chicken Wings and not Buffalo Wings…its like my biggest pet peeve in life. Secondly, all the food was superrr good! Even the wings were pretty good, and we are usually wing snobs since we have so many good ones here! We all decided that we would like to make the Sci Fi Diner a usual thing.

After dinner we were all pretty tired so I hobbled my way to the bus stop. It seriously annoys me that there is only one bus stop for all of Port Orleans, especially at night. Its like that at Epcot too but when its busy at night they open 2 different ones. Anyway, we ended up waiting for 3 different buses before we got on one. I was standing, which would have been fine had my knee not wanted to give out at any moment, but my sister and I did get another chuckle out of a possible minor bus crash with people falling all over haha.
Off to bed we went and off for more adventures tomorrow!

I am loving this trip report... it seems like you guys did EVERYTHING on this trip... I am now at 36 days until I get to WDW and reports like yours hype me up!!! Thanks!!

Day 8 (ah this trip went by so fast, and writing about it is going by too fast too even though its taking me forever haha)
As usual we woke up and headed for breakfast at the hotel. My mom and I decided to switch it up and get something aside from our usual croissant and banana. She got the Mickey waffles with fruit and I got a cheese omelet. The omelet was meh but my mom said the waffles were good. The omelet probably would have been good but it had that taste of sitting around for awhile if you know what I mean.
In any case today was Animal Kingdom Day! My parents and I were the only ones who made it to AK park so far so we had a lot of accomplish!

We had a Fast Pass for later in the day for Expedition Everest but since we had some time to kill we decided to go on it while it still had a short line! So, we decided to go on it twice!

My sister and I have a dream of climbing Mt. Everest someday (mind you, we have never actually climbed a mountain haha) so we took this picture last trip too and I framed it in a huge picture of the real Mt. Everest so that it looked like we were climbing the real thing haha

After Everest we still had some time to waste and we were waiting for Jill and Nick so we could use our first Fast Pass so we went on the Asian Trek! As usual it was cool, but no Tigers out!

We headed over to Africa for Kilimanjaro Safaris! While we waited for Jill and Nick to make their way through the park I did some shopping and bought a new drawstring backpack! My other one had a huge hole in it, and despite my "magnificent" sewing job I did on it before we left it reopened haha.
I can't find a good picture of it but its really cute! Its purple with different Mickey heads on it all colored like different animal prints. If I find a picture I will post one!
Safari time!

It started pouring rain on the Safari…of course haha

We wanted to go on the African trek so we moseyed through, but right before we got to the Gorillas they shut it down because of lightening

Obviously our Fast Pass for Everest was canceled but we did have one for Dinosaur
The ride was horrifying as usual haha Unfortunately the picture didn't show up on my Memory Maker…I don't think the picture thing was working though because they didn't show up on the screen either.
Make a scared face! But, Nick wasn't scared I guess haha

Since it was still raining we couldn't go on any other rides since mostly everything is outside, but we did end up going to Its Tough to Be a Bug
The wait was actually 20 minutes, but there really was nothing else to do so we waited, in the rain haha

We were pretty over the rain so decided to head back to the hotel after this..

The maid arranged our growing collection of stuffed animals so that it looked like they were all afraid of the Ewoks bahahaha

Next stop Downtown Disney and Epcot

Day 8 continued:
We were all super hungry so decided to head down to Downtown Disney to get something to eat!
While waiting for the boat, which uncharacteristically took forever, we finally decided on Crossroads House of Blues!
When we got there there was like a 15 minute wait, so we all went to the bar and had a drink
For linner (as we like to call the time between lunch and dinner, obviously) my Dad and I split the ribs. As some
of you have read I never had ribs before this trip so after having them at the Flame Tree BBQ I was apparently on a ribs kick haha. In any case, I didn't care for these at all, I guess the Flame Tree BBQ spoiled me

My Mom had the Fried Chicken which neither she nor I liked. Personally I think I got spoiled by New Orleans (and Willie Maes Scotch House) fried chicken and this fried chicken did not taste like much of anything!

Jill had the Lobster Mac and Cheese which she said was good

Nick had the Shrimp and Grits which was apparently good

Personally, I would never eat here again but some of us enjoyed it haha

After eating we split into groups of twos. My dad and Betta went back to go swimming, Jill and Nick went shopping and my mom and I went shopping. I had to shop for my dad's person Betta haha (its just better that I do the shopping).
My mom and I went to Goofys Candy Shop to get a secret snack haha I had a chocolate covered s'more and my mom had a cashew cluster

After Downtown Disney we relaxed a little before exchanging our presents! My mom had me and she got me a beautiful crystal cube from Germany that has Mickey! I don't have a picture
We decided that we were going to head to the Boardwalk to eat dinner for an early Father's Day celebration. We had originally planned on going to Margaritaville, but we all decided that we weren't going to go because it may rain and its also pretty expensive to take a cab to Universal.

Well, the plan was to eat at ESPN zone but it was packed/there was a line to get in because of a hockey game so we ended up just wandering around..no one was that hungry anyway

Luckily we made it back to Epcot just in time for Illuminations!

I was so excited we finally got to see Illuminations! I love Illuminations (although not as much as Wishes!)
After Illuminations it was EMH so we went on Spaceship Earth and were planning on going on Test Track or Soarin' but both lines were super long so we went home!

Next stop Star Wars weekend!

I seriously don't know why Jill especially likes Beverly so much, my Dad even went online to see if he could buy it for them to drink at home

Day 9:
Let me preface this day by saying I am by no means a big Star Wars fan but how could you not go to Star Wars Weekend when you are going to be there anyway. So, Betta had gone in the past and said it was cool so we wanted to check it out! My parents opted out of going and instead decided to meet us later at the Magic Kingdom.
We got up pretty early to guarantee we would be there on time for the opening. We basically ran to the cafeteria, got a quick bite to eat and then ate it while waiting for the bus. Soon enough we were on our way!
When we got to Hollywood Studios it was already really fun to see, with guests in costumes and posters everywhere! I think this may be the first time I have ever gotten to HS in time to see an opening! Well, it was only a matter of minutes before the Storm Troopers "shot" the buildings with fireworks then rolled out on these cool platforms.

Then they played some movie on the screen on the stage and the storm troopers kept going on about how silly it was that just a little rope was what was keeping us from going inside haha In any case after their little humor bit they let us in 10 minutes early (they told us not to tell haha)!

Betta and I had planned on going to the Art of Animation drawing class but they didn't open until 10 so we instead headed to Toy Story Mania…which had like a 5 minute wait…it was crazy!
After Toy Story we thought there would be no way we would get on anything else since the park was so cowed but we basically walked right on Aerosmith. I guess most people were waiting in line to see characters! The ride did shut down for a few minutes right before we went on and then when it counted down from 3..2…1 we didn't go haha! I hate that but then it just counted down again and took off
btw sitting in the back on this ride is not pleasant my head hurt so bad

As we walked by TofT there was a 13 minute wait time haha I thought that was cool! We didn't go on thought because Betta doesn't like that ride.
Since it was Star Wars weekend we decided to partake in some Star Wars activities and head to the Darth's Mall to check it out.
On our way we passed the Storm Troopers making some jokes about Princess Leia

There were all these ropes set up like it was going to take forever to get in, but we didn't have to wait.
When we got in we saw that there were characters to meet so we got in line! We originally got in line for Donald Duck and Goofy but by the time we got to the front it was Mickey and Minnie! I was so excited! They had to make some announcement about not being rough to the characters though, which was kind of sad that they even had to say it. Apparently they had problems that morning with people being too hard on them and trying to beat them up. The one worker seriously wanted to kill himself he kept saying "only 36 hours of this left" haha.

We then wandered around the store to check out all the cool stuff! I think its pretty cool that you can buy custom Magic Bands (for the good price of like $30)
I wanted to buy this for my Dad as a joke haha but it was a little pricey

After this we headed outside to walk around and see what characters were out

BTW even the line for Star Tours was super short…apparently no one was going on any rides

Overall the whole thing was really cool! I would definitely go back again if our timing happened to coincide with one of the weekends! We didn't spend a ton of time there because we wanted to meet up with our parents, but it would be cool to see the parades or meet some of the characters or see the fireworks at night!
Before we left I did make a special purchase….a Storm Trooper "beverage" mug! You will see him make an appearance in the next installment of my trip report…we liked to call him Stormie and he really enjoyed Magic Kingdom.
On a side not why do they insist on calling everything "beverages" instead of drinks? haha I specifically ordered it as a Storm Trooper mug with a beverage just to make Betta laugh and then the rest of the trip we referred to every drink as a beverage.
Oh what was also cool about Star Wars was the really cool speciality cup cakes and alcoholic beverages they had…if only it wasn't 10:00 am when we left...

Day 9 continued!
We luckily caught a bus for MK from HS very quickly (I did have to run with my Storm Trooper mug filled with Coke which was entertaining).
My parents were already at MK and my Dad finally got to go on Pirates!
Then, they waited for us to meet up with them near The Haunted Mansion

When Betta and I walked into MK I got so many compliments on my Storm Trooper mug! So many Cast Members asked me where I got it from! haha

Haunted Mansion was our first ride! Its always a good one, I remember being terrified of it when I was little and I am pretty sure the Disney movie also terrified me haha
After we went on HM we headed over to Tomorrowland. We originally had Fast Passes for Hollywood Studios but had decided we had done everything we wanted to do there so easily changed them over to MK the night before.
We did have some time to kill so we went on Space Ranger Spin first

When we got off we decided to join the line to meet Buzz!

He was super cool! The little kid in front of us balled his eyes out though and Buzz felt so bad haha
It finally was time for Space Mountain, which Stormie also went on haha

My Dad's face on rides always makes me laugh he's also like lalala

We wanted to go to the Laugh Floor after this but when we got in line it ended up shutting down due to technical issues. Some guy in front of us was SOOO mad! He was like "technical issues otherwise known as union breaks" and everyone else was like…? um no sir but good try.
Instead we went on Dumbo!
When I was little I remember something happening with Dumbo and my friend and I got to wait for it in the handicapped line…but then my knee got stuck in the rails or something haha I remember it being in a horrible experience. Anyway the way it is set up now is much different and much better!

After this we went to Gastons tavern to see the inside! It was cool, we didn't get anything though

We saw Gaston outside but there was a long wait to see him. Here he is challenging someone to arm wrestling

After this we went to Mickey's Philharmagic! None of us had ever seen this before! I am not even sure I knew it existed until I read about it. It was so cute! A must do for every trip now.
We really wanted to go to the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and when we went back it was finally open! I think its cute how they incorporated Monsters University into this now…I loved that movie!
When we got out of the show it was…..you guessed it…pouring rain!
Well it was as a good a time as any to go back to the hotel!

Next up lunch at the hotel and Epcot!

AHHH sorry its been so long since I have updated, this darn residency thing is really getting in the way haha
So we got back to our hotel and decided to eat at our food court, the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (yes, that is indeed the full name).
I know I have mentioned this a few times but I had just gotten back from New Orleans right before this trip so I was a little leery of the food tasting authentic (even though I had it before and thought it was good) but overall it was pretty good!

My mom and I both had a Buffalo Chicken Po'Boy, which was surprisingly very similar to something we would have here in Buffalo

My Dad had the gumbo

Overall we were all pleased with the food!
After eating it had stopped raining a little so we wanted to go to Epcot and spend more time in the countries we hadn't gotten to yet.
I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but towards the end of the trip I tend to treasure long bus rides haha it lets you rest your legs! Typically at French Quarter the bus to Epcot is the longest because it also goes to the Riverside side. While it would have annoyed me earlier in the trip I welcomed it towards the end haha
Anyway, when we got to Epcot we checked out the line situation for Test Track but there was a storm coming so it was closed (wahh we only got on it once the whole time!). Jill and Nick were in Epcot eating dinner in Mexico so we headed over there to say hi to them.

Donald Duck came out to say hi but Jill and Nick's reservation was in like 5 minutes so we couldn't wait.
We then headed around the world and stopped in Norway to see the "Frozen" museum they have, which is basically the old museum with little signs pointing out things about Frozen. It was still cute though!
Then we headed to China and went inside to see the acrobats who were just finishing up. Since they were almost done we stayed for the Reflections of China movie. I thought the movie was cool, but the 360 degree screen bothered me a bit, and I did like how they glazed over communism haha (not to get political).

Then we headed to Germany, even though we were already there this trip. I really needed another sea salt milk chocolate carmel (btw my mom and I are pretty much obsessed with these caramels we talk about them all the time). I also wanted to buy a tiara for myself so I could display it at home…or wear it…either way! Once I stop being lazy I will find all these things I bought and put up pictures.

I think after this we all conceded to the fact that we were all tired haha and since we had visited all the rest of the countries previously we decided to call it a night and head back to the hotel.
Jill and Nick were at The Scat Cat's Club so we met them there and decided to order a pizza!
The pizza was really good! I forgot the picture of it though, or maybe I remembered like after we ate most of it haha
Betta was leaving in the morning so she had to go back to the room and back so we just relaxed and watched tv before bed.

Day 10 (already?!?!)
Betta left early in the morning so it was just the 5 of us left. We wanted to head to MK in the morning and then decide later what to do for dinner. Since it was Fathers Day we figured we should let my Dad (finally) decide what we should eat haha
We started off as usual with breakfast at the hotel. This time I tried and egg and cheese croissant sandwich and it was really good!
We started noticing in the past few days it was getting really crowded at the hotel, and in the parks. This day seemed worse than ever though so when we got to the bus stop we couldn't even get on the first MK bus and barely made it on the second (which luckily came right after). Usually I wouldn't mind too much but I had one goal in mind, to see the opening show! Well, we got to MK about 15 minutes before it opened…and we just missed the show! They opened the park early, that seemed to happen a lot on this trip!

In any case we didn't have anything in particular planned so we decided to head to Peter Pans Flight. Secretly I actually just wanted to see what the wait was for Anna and Elsa. I had a Fast Pass for them but then gave it up because I felt bad taking it away from little kids so I thought perhaps since the park just opened Stand By wouldn't be too bad..I was wrong..it was already 210 minutes so Peters Pan Flight it was! haha
We then headed over to Fantasyland and went on the teacups

Then we went on The Little Mermaid since there was no line…

Usually my Mom never goes on a ride alone, I can't believe that she did haha

Then…we met Ariel since there was no line haha

She was very sweet! She said my mom and I were dressed like her best friends Sebastian and Flounder since we were dressed in yellow and red!
After this we had a Fast Pass for BTMR so we headed over there. We got in line behind these two super obnoxious girls who complained because a Cast Member kindly told them to use both sides of the Fast Pass Mickey things (they tried to use their Magic Bands in the Fast Pass line but didn't hold it long enough to turn green so the whole family all used one side which takes forever…). Needless to say sometimes people in Disney act like brats…it was a common theme this whole day haha.
While we were waiting for Jill and Nick to meet is in MK we wanted to go on the Liberty Belle…which was closed….
Then we were going to go on Pirates, but that was closed…
So while we waited we went to the general store and I bought an Olaf pin (I'm not into the whole pin trading thing, but I am into Olaf haha)
We then told them to meet us at the Jungle Cruise…but that had a 55 minute wait so we ended up just waiting for them at the Tiki Room.
The Tiki Room, which I personally think is ridiculous, is one of Jills favorites haha They changed the end though, they sing a different song which isn't as exciting
After this we headed to Haunted Mansion…which was closed….
We had Fast Passes coming up for the Mine Train….but it was closed
EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED! haha I had never seen that happen before, I was especially surprised about the Mine Ride since its new
We basically wandered around for awhile and caught the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It parade
Dancing to the music…except I was the only one dancing

The Photo Pass thing was broken too…something weird was happening at Disney…this guy tried to get the pics on my Magic Band for like 10 minutes before giving me a card

We ended up heading to Pirates which had reopened and waited an ungodly time of 40 minutes (probably because everything else was closed)
So..we started along Pirates and then the ride stopped….for quite some time….

It was definitely pretty funny because they kept sending boats for some reason so every time a new one came all the boats would slam into one another haha
When we got off after about 30 minutes they gave us Fast Passes to use for the least exciting attractions haha Since we were close we decided upon Jungle Cruise….
PAPER FAST PASS!

People on the Jungle Cruise with us were extra cranky. As soon as we sat down some lady complained because it was too sunny (go figure…its Florida) and the Cast Member told her not to worry because once the boat moves she will be out of the sun…she then proceeded to yell at him for being cranky haha

We next had Fast Passes for Space Mountain so headed over there. My mom and Nick opted to not go on. We ended up in front of the MEANEST lady I have ever heard at Disney. She complained about everything. The new fast pass system is stupid, Fast Pass lines should only be like 2 minutes, Fast Pass people shouldn't have to combine lines with the regular line people (those commoners), you shouldn't be allowed to have an uneven number of people in line…etc etc. When her one kid pointed out that she was annoying and people were staring she said they can go ahead and stare. I felt so bad for her family!

The Mine Ride had finally reopened but it was getting really crowded and it was very warm out so we decided to just go back to the hotel since Jill and Nick had to go to the airport eventually anyway.
We did first have to stop at the PhotoPass thing in Town Hall to put our pictures on the Memory Maker which took longer than it should have haha

We were at WDW last week and encountered more closed rides than usual too! My husband & son didn't't get to ride Pirates until our last day because it was closed a lot while we were there.

So much enjoyed reading and looking at the great photos of your trip. Congratulations to you on your graduation from Medical School Doctor. Congratulations to your mom for being cancer free. I am glad you had a great time despite the rain and cool weather at times. Can't wait till we get there in October.

My husband went to LECOM too! He went to the Seton Hill campus in Greensburg (closer my my college). He just started his 2nd year as a surgical resident! So I'm well aware of the hardships residency (especially intern year) can have on ones Disney vacation plans! Haha!

Loving the TR - I love to squeeze as much into trips too! My sister in law often said she saw more of the back of my head the whole trip because I was always walking faster and faster to get where we needed to go!

Disney time is precious!! Haha!
