Lovely meet up (im not up to this part in DLF's report yet) I spotted @Figment Forever back in 2016 but I was too shy to go and say hello (yes I kick myself still) and to be fair Chris would have died if 3 years ago I said I was going to say hello to one of my 'pretend friends' I am hoping he has a change of heart now he knows we are all following each other on Intsa, I think in his head it makes everyone a bit more 'real' 😂

Scott is so use to me meeting online community people, he usually doesn't give it a second thought. Apparently I'm very social online. In the last 9 years, it's mostly been other knitters... this year it was Disney peeps... you never know with me!

Oh I totally forgot a piece of after Fantasmic, before leaving. Scott said he would like to go see Chewy! Scott's not a character person, so I was surprised! Who was I to argue? So we got in line, it wasn't too long we only had 3-4 families ahead of us. This was one of the places that have one of those automatic boxes... I'll just show you a few that did turn out!

Oh and while I was attaching those pictures, I found other pictures I didn't share.

When we came into the park in the morning, there was a star wars show stage in front of the theatre, but tonight it was gone, so we got some photo pass pics taken.

Friday Sept 20th - Epcot day 2.

This morning we again had FP's on Soarin and Living with the land. For Soarin, we sheepishly asked if we could wait for B1, and the gal had no issue, except she had to explain to the CM's behind her because they were training a couple new people. We looked forward to a straight on eiffel tower. We were on the end though, so it was still slightly bent... but we didn't have to look at hanging feet, so that was a plus.

For LwtL, we were at the very back of the boat this time, and instead of taking a ton of pictures, I just enjoyed the ride.

After we were done in The Land pavillion, we agree to start on the opposite side of world showcase to hit up booths that we didn't get to eat at on Wednesday.

Just over the walkway, we stopped to get our picture taken because there was no line.

416091

I swear Scott always looks like he's frowning in these pictures, I assure you he is having a good time!

Our first stop was Island of the Caribbean where we shared:

Ropa Vieja Empanada with Tomato Aïoli

416093

Our next stop was Mexico, Scott wanted:

Taco de Puerco: Shredded Pork Belly on a Corn Tortilla with Salsa Verde

416094

At some point during our walk, Scott had talked about maybe going on the frozen ride (he's refused for days) but he seemed interested in it once, so while I got my next food item from The Alps, Scott went over to get a return time for the ride, only to find out it was down. (this is probably where we should have crossed paths @dryerlintfan )

I decided I wanted to try the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette

416095

It's cheese, it's bread, it's potatoes and a pickle... what's not to love?

Whew, you'd think we'd be full right? Wrong.. this is why we are fluffy people.

Our next spot was India. I had always wanted to try the bread service at Sanaa, but Scott said I wouldn't like it... and he's probably right, but this was a mini version, so we shared this this: Warm Indian Bread with Pickled Garlic, Mango Salsa and Coriander Pesto Dips

Scott liked the Coriander pesto and the mango salsa. I just wanted a bowl of the Mango Salsa with Naan... neither of us really liked the Pickled Garlic dip.

416097

The next THREE stops were for Scott.

In Africa he had:
Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-scented Couscous

He said it was very spicy! I tried a bit of the couscous... I don't know where the citrus "scent" was.

416098

Next we stopped in Germany, and I found a bench... where we listened to the "Polka band" play everything BUT Polka... they were horrible.. what the heck. Scott came back with these:

  • Roast Bratwurst in a Prop and Peller® Pretzel Roll
  • Apple Strudel with Vanilla sauce
416099

This itty bitty bun cracked me up

416100

No, Scott did not share his strudel.

Our last stop for him was in Japan..

Spicy Roll: Tuna and Salmon Sushi topped with Volcano Sauce

Epcot Continued:

woah... slow down... back track to just after the africa booth, Scott said he wanted to go see if the fancy cotton candy maker in China was open this day (it was closed on Wednesday)

It was open, but I have to say this man did NOT look like he enjoyed his job very much.

416103

I thanked him for his "art", which seem to please him and Scott was excited for this fun dryer lint.

416104

Look at that smile!

That thing was so light and airy it was demolished in just a couple of minutes... which makes it a HORRIBLE value, but it's the show factor, and the magic of it that makes it fun. We had to get it once, right?

Back to Japan... after Scott's sushi we decided to head to France and get one more:

416105

Cheers!

It was after this I think Scott's sugar levels were getting pretty high, and he was getting tired and told me he was ready to go back to POP, but he knew I had another Magician meet up planned, so I was staying... this time he took his scooter with him!

I had an hour or two to kill before my meetup, so I wandered around the rest of WS. Taking @dclfan 's advice, I wanted Fondue from France, but she told me that they gave you way more cheese than bread/croutons to dip in it... so pro-tip! Go buy a 1/2 bagette from the Patisserie, before you get your fondue from the France booth.

416106

Totally pro move Alisa!

I sat down on the fountain in France, and munched on my bread, and it started to rain a bit... so I donned some plastic wrap, while the guys and gal across from me giggled.. they were a bit tipsy... and they had an umbrella. It turns out they are the owners of MIA brewery, which had some beers featured around the showcase. They were chatty and nice and I told them I was from Beer city, and there is a micro brewery on every corner, and we've lost track of how many there are here. Nice, funny guys and gals. They moved on, and I was done with my fondue, so I walked around to Canada where I found a stage for the Blueberry bluegrass band. They had a bit before going on stage, so I just sat in the shade on one of the benches underneath an umbrella. I picked a good spot, because at some point it started raining a bit heavier, but I didn't even notice until I finally looked out.

Sorry if anyone likes this band... but I thought they were horrible!

Except for maybe the banjo player who had a seductive eye smile going on.... and he knew it too! Quit looking at me like that!!!

416107

Haha.. in this picture you can't even see him... he is behind the pole!

Here's a picture of the band I found on the interwebs.

416108

During this my next meet up texted me to coordinated our meeting... I'll give you a little hint, we were meeting at 415pm at the Moosehead cart in Canada.

I should mention that I had been trying all day to get an 830pm reservation for Cape May because we were in the mood for all you can eat crab... but I couldn't get a reservation past 645p...... I serious tried to modify that reservation ALL DAY..... stay tuned.

I had one last thing on my list to eat before the meetup... so I made my way to the refreshment port and got a Coke because I was starting to get hot, (for some reason Coke helps when I'm overheating better than water!) and then I went to the Canada booth and got:

Le Cellier Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce

416109

I remembered to take a picture! In fact the last 2 food pictures are mine... I blame Scott... when he was with me I was distracted, when I was alone, I seem to be good at photos of food!

While I was eating, standing at a table by the water, I decided to call the WDW dining number to see if there was anyway they could get a later reservation for us... they seem to try, but no luck there either. So I just kept trying....

After I was done eating.. .I sat on a bench close by to watch for my meetup... and she walked right by.... and I saw her walk by... but she looked incognito this day!

I got a text that she was at our meetup stop, so I walked right over and met up with @Darstarr ! She and her groupies were already having beer in hand... (and this is why I arranged for meeting at the beginning of WS! I knew if I let them get too far in with the boozy countries, I might never find her!)

We hugged like old friends... and she brought me a prezzie... NY BAGELS... it had been years since I had them, and I was so excited!

416110

We stood there talking for about 30 minutes or more... and her group was getting restless, so I decided to let her move on, but little did we know.. there were more magicians close by that were looking for us. I missed them, but luckily Darstarr did not! I'm super bummed I didn't get to meet them, but so glad I got to meet up with SO many people this trip! @Doc Disney was also in town at the beginning of my trip, but her's was short and we didn't have any park tickets yet, and it just didn't happen. =( Next time!

After our meetup, I decided to go back to POP and join Scott.

On the bus ride back.. I was still trying to modify my Cape May reservation, when I had an epiphany to try a different approach. I tried to modify our reservation to 4 people for 830pm. Guess what would come up for 4, but not for 2? Well here's where that saying comes in again... there's more than one way to skin a cat! I took the reservation for 4!

We got cute towel art this day:

416112

I woke Scott up when I got back around 530ish... and we decided to take a walk with our resort mugs over the bridge to art of animation. We didn't do that last time, and had wished we had. We didn't walk the whole resort because it's pretty huge, but we went around the big blue pool and stopped to fill our mugs with drink, then we checked out the cars area.

416111

10 picture max hit....

We found a bench and took in the scenery for a bit... I like the highly themed value resorts... they are fun to look at.

On our way back I was going use the new skyliner bathroom before the bridge.. but I was DENIED.

416113

The skylines were running / testing the whole week we were there. However, I couldn't seem to convince anyone to let us test them out. Didn't they need to test loading an ECV?

416114

416115

So we just got to look at them from afar... I thought there could be a soft opening before we left.. but Disney wasn't budging on this one! It would not open until my birthday, when we were already gone.

We took our time and relaxed, and then took at Lyft over to the Beach club for dinner... when we checked in, I'd advised there would just be the two of us, the other two were unable to make it. :hilarious: No problem... we waited maybe 5 minutes and our table was ready. The restaurant had lots of open tables, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't take a reservation for 2 over 4... but ok.. I'm sure it has to do with $$$.

416116

Since it was towards the end of the night (830pm reservation) the buffet technically ends at 9pm, I was worried they might not be refilling food... but that was not the case at all... both pans had a mountain of crab legs... and there was plenty of everything else!

416117

My first plate... the 2nd and 3rd plate were strictly legs. The macaroni & cheese on this bar was so good!

416119

I just had a little bit... I was trying to save room for more crab!

Scott and I both had drinks.. He had a
Cold Brew XO
Patron XO Cafe Coffee Liqueur, Heavy Cream, and Cold Brew Joffrey's Coffee
and I had a
Godiva Chocolate Martini
Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Stoli Vanil Vodka, Bols White Creme de Cacao, and Frangelico

Scott liked his drink... I liked mine as well, but it was STRONG... Disney knows how to make a drink.

I love that Cape may has tiny desserts for their dessert buffet

416120

The best one was the flourless chocolate Mickey hat... tasty!

416121

next up, a little firework watching and a walk on the boardwalk.

This girl reminded me of Julia, @Figment Forever !

If only Julia wanted to build a droid... :(

Can we talk about how wonderful of a human Julia is though ❤❤ She is so inquisitive and caring and has a great sense of humor ❤❤
Yes, for sure! And she made me laugh talking about how strict the "boy" 's parents are.

Awwww you guys are sweet, but yes my Julia has a big heart. She loved meeting up with everyone - we all did! I hope we can do it again! Maybe I'll have to take up knitting and travel to a convention!

Hope was counting down the days until they went home. Apparently she'd had enough of Disney!

None of us knew why she was doing this. I think it was the same as someone who constantly reminds themselves how many days of vacation they have left? One things for sure - she didn't want to leave!

We all count down the days of our vacation in one way or another. Hope was really great :inlove::inlove: I interacted more with Julia but A interacted more with Hope and Hope was really good with her when they were playing together. A doesn't quite have the sharing thing down yet, though, so sorry about that!!

It was really great to meet you guys in person! You have a really great crew :inlove::inlove:
