The next morning Scott's back was feeling a little bit better... but not 100%. Luckily I had scheduled a sort of rest day for us. This morning I went in search of cream cheese for the delicious bagels that
@Darstarr has schlepped all the way from New York for me, but I could not find any... so we made due with butter and jelly.
Here I am working on my poses... I think I need more lessons
@Doc Disney
I did two loads of laundry again before lunch... it's so nice being able to pack clean clothes instead of dirty. Only one side of my suitcase came home with dirty clothes.
We didn't have plans for lunch, but we decided to go to Disney Springs and check out Chicken Guy... While I was waiting in line, Scott left me and went to the Marvel store, and came back with a Groot Coffee mug. He knew we didn't have room for one more mug, so he waiting until he escaped my clutches to get it! All I got was this Chicken Guy cup with a real straw!
I got to ride on the big guys bus!
I gotta say the tenders were nothing special... the sauces were good, and really that's what his place is all about... the sauces.
We weren't in the mood to stay long, so we left right after lunch. Scott's back was still hurting, and it was time for his afternoon nap.
Now, originally on our "rest" day, I had made a few FP+'s for the MK in the late afternoon, since there were a few more things I wanted to do, and we had to head in that direction for the evenings festivities anyway. Scott said he would rather stay in the room and rest, and I should go without him and do the things I wanted to do. (this is how he got out of some of my favorite rides)
Not wanting to miss some of my favorite sentimental things, I took him up on it.
On the bus on the way over, there was a bride and her bridesmaids... the Bride looked like she was wearing lingerie, and her court was all in pink hoochi dresses with high heals.... WHY OH WHY?
MK was a little bit busy.
I'm not sure why I took this pictures, but it's not why you think it is!
As I got down main street, the seas parted, and the Photo pass gal had no one in line.
My first fast pass was for HM.
It was pretty warm, and I didn't bring my water bottle because I didn't want to take it to dinner with us... so I stopped at Columbia Harbour House and got a glass of ice water. I love the cylinder ice cubes!
After HM, I made my way to the teacups. Although, this isn't my favorite ride, it has sentimental value for me. Here's why: My first time to Disney World was when my Grand Parents took me for the day when I was 18. We went to MK, and the only ride I specifically remember was going on the Teacups with my grandfather. This would be my last day with my Grandparents ever, as they were killed in a horrible car accident just a few weeks after I turned 19. So I took a whirl for them!
