I'm disappointed but not surprised by the way that sign was defaced, but I have hope that the island of my ancestors will not re-splinter into factions and hatred.
I was not meaning to focus on the sign at all. You being a dual citizen. I meant that as a citizen of the Republic of Ireland...your neighbor to the north would be Northern Ireland...so I was wondering as you see all the natural beauty photos I have been sharing, would you possibly be inspired to visit the Antrim Coast Road in Northern Ireland?Steve, someday we will.meet up halfway (northern NJ, maybe) and have a great conversation.

Good morning to all my wdwmagic friends. Today we will continue to see sites in N Ireland. Dark Hedges....Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge... The Giant's Causeway....Dunluce Castle...and then our new hotel based location in the early evening will be Derry/Londonderry = the city with two names.
Those that want the north to remain part of the United Kingdom will refer to their city as Londonderry.....those who wish there was only one Ireland and would like to break ties with London...these folks will call their city Derry.
Catholics/Republicans call it Derry, Protestants / Unionists call it Londonderry. By Catholics and Protestants living in separate areas in Northern Ireland separated by a wall is necessary.

Reminds me of the suspension bridge at DAK private Kilamajaro tour, each guest had to be under 300lbs for bridge safety reasons but this rope bridge is much more scenic.
