Locals eat around 8pm and either go to a pub or hang out with friends or family.We just walked along the river on our side. Everything is closed. Just the movie theatre on the other side is open. Same thing last night on Dublin's Grafton Street. It is such a crowded place during the day but by 7pm it is weirdly abandoned. That seems to be a cultural difference between the USA and Ireland. The people in Ireland prioritize their personal lives and want to be free in the evenings?

Today we will get a drive around orientation/ overview of Belfast....then we leave the city to head to Carrickfergus Castle.
That's cool. Belfast always fascinated me. This was one of the most dangerous places in the world in the 1970/80s with Northern Ireland conflict w/ Ireland. This inspired U2 to write their song Sunday Bloody Sunday on the killings of locals by the UK army. After the 1998 Good Friday agreement should have improved situations there in NI. Perhaps the food is different there?

This morning we received an hour tour of Belfast. We were brought to "the Catholic area" and to "the Protestant area". There is still a wall but everyone is living side by side peacefully. The food in the Rep of Ireland vs here in Northern Ireland seems the same. By the way, there are MANY KFC's here!!

Do they also remind you your car warranty has expired?And then the Parking Spot sends you endless weekly emails asking you to come back, book early, remember them the next time you travel and on and on.....

I got three phone calls about it this week! My car is a 2008, the warranty has been expired for ages!

You don’t call them buskers in the US? We do in Canada. In fact, you have to have a busker’s licence to perform … in Ontario anyway. (It indemnifies the municipality.)

This is the most northeast point of the Island of Ireland and Northern Ireland. WE could see the edge of Scotland from here. It will not show up in the photos so please just take my word for it....

I'm enjoying all your photos. You both are lucky to have mostly clear days, making it more pleasant to walk and explore.
This photo by the way is from the "Cathedral Quarter" section of Belfast N. Ireland. My dinner in that area was Royal Chicken Supreme....
I am 5 hours ahead in time from NJ, Massachusetts, Ontario, etc....so I am just chilling out in the hotel before sleeping. I will search for a few more
