CM Attacked at ToT

obligatory hate at guest, love at cm, of course...
severity of altercation rather surprising, but, as said, the general interaction is certainly not, for many unfortunate reasons

frontline bears a lot, as shown; respecting that fact varies wildly, as known

of supreme interest to me is the reason this cm chose not to press charges -
i'm hoping she may have realized she didn't fully adhere to behavioral guidelines and is considering the event a wash in the end

...because there's a whole bunch of legal sticky icky all up in this thread
Regardless of whether or not the CM adhered to (speculation) "behavioral guidelines" does not justify punching a CM or anyone for that matter in the face.

You've got to be kidding me.

most certainly - never my intent to infer otherwise
... i have no sympathy toward those who offensively introduce violence in support of their own personal will; lowest form of matter

Facial recognition is proving to currently be a faulty tool that Disney would be wise to avoid for the time being. The software is less accurate than people expect and due to how they are trained there is a problem with racial, ethnic and gender bias. A family being harassed by security and having the sheriff called because of bad software would not play well.

You put your doubt on the cast member working the room (based on her decision not to press charges) rather than on the group of people who deliberately tried to cut into the fast pass line then (as people who cheat often do) made a big stink about it when they got called on it - and then escalated it to the point of physical assault.
Too add after the POS punched Taylor in the eye they all (family) ran off and were tracked down by Disney security (this came from the Miami Herald paper). Article went on to say Jessica Grines started pushing buttons and Taylor pushed her hand away. I fail to see how the CM did anything wrong in this. PS --when the paper asked this family for an interview they declined

Thats because the CM didn't do anything wrong. And anyone saying that enough was done in this situation, needs to evaluate themselves. I guarantee that anyone who said enough was done, no need to prosecute... would be singing a different tune if it was their wife or daughter or any family member that was punched in the face.

earned every second of that ban, obviously...
seemingly more, which highlights the fact she felt it unnecessary to pursue further.

so, counter to many initial impressions here, including my own, her reported position asks us to believe the ban was sufficient
... perhaps she is extraordinarily compassionate - whether for that or the former or for some other reason, that reason is of interest in evaluating the situation as a whole.

Facial recognition is getting better.
I read your post twice and it scared me even more the 2nd time I read it...
I would hope WDW is not employing facial recognition... the natural evolution is some kind of tracking and rating... ie China social scoring..

If Vegas casinos have facial recognition, I’m guessing Disney does as well.

The whole biometrics thing is way beyond creepy... I much prefer the California method with photos. But I guess that’s because I’m used to showing ID and not used to having a machine scan my biometrics.

Well, you can bet they're already tracking your spending habits and frequency of visiting. Adding your face and your finger point sum is not rocket science.

And scanning faces looking for those banned from the parks is an especially appropriate use of FR.

Vegas I get more because of the money within hands reach, not a place for criminals to wonder unabated.

If I discovered they used facial recognition, I would never go there again.... we already have social media tracking..
facial recognition can be swapped and traded among corporations as well as passed on to track location in real time...

Adam the Woo was caught on property and banned a few years back for going backstage, filming it and posting it on youtube. When he described it, it didn't sound like facial recognition software but rather security being told to be on the lookout for a guy looking like him and grabbing him when spotting him.

Have you not cruised before? The cruise lines use FR for when they take your pictures on the ship. I doubt that if WDW has FR that they are using it for anything nefarious. But if they have it to use to track down people like this woman, then I am OK with it. I mean, they already know that you are in the park and your MB picks up where you are so what's the difference.

Never been on a cruise... there is a difference with FR and FP.. (at least to me), one shows where you have been several times today, other can show where you are at all times. One I can opt out, the other I can not...

Did you send you DNA to 23andMe or other such? I have not and will not..
