...This will be called millionaire square... or for people with too much money and little brains , for what they pay for and get, just like any other restaurant at MK .

Just yet another way for Disney to make regular guests feel inferior

Man, lots of people defending taking away a restaurant that they and their kids could visit for decades but that they will from now on only see a closed door and security guards telling them to take hike off.

Why would anyone begrudge someone that can afford to pay the membership that this club costs? Or Disney for building it? It is in the same line of thinking that everyone should be able to live in the same kind of houses, take as many vacations, etc. I can’t afford it, and never will, unless that lottery win comes thru- but I think it is really cool for those that can. 😑

You don’t understand that Disney is a business. Disney is more crowded which is why they need less capacity than they had when they were less crowded.

But that is not what is happening.
MK- Built onto former Verandah seating that hasn’t been used in years for anything but M&G’s
Epcot- Previous Corporate Lounge, Used as Special Events space and Chase Lounge during its F&W sponsorship
HS- Former bar closed for years
AK- Empty Space

That is why many don’t mind them, they took away nothing that couldn’t be relocated (Adventureland M&G), and used unused spaces to maximize profits, and allow a covert experience for those that want it.

If a color of a random bench is changed posters on here will freak out and have 100 pages talking about how Disney is changing and doesn't understand their guests.

Oh, great, so next trip I can sit on the veranda overlooking the hub again?

I very well can't, can I.
Just because a former WED gem has been defiled for a few years as a m&g and storage space doesn't mean the space hasn't been taken away. It just means people have short memory.

To say nothing of the exterior space. Gone is the view from the hub into AL of a beautiful tropical hideaway, of a themed environment using every nook and cranny to immerse the guest. Replaced by a utilitarian men's brothel of vips looking, literally, down on you from their vip fireworks watching area.

Everything has changed here.

Colour is an important constituent of a created environment. The colour of benches is subject to artistic deliberation. So we very would enjoy discusing their design and effect on the park. :)

Well...we Disney fans would. Not management, nor the clowns in current WDI, nor many modern guests.

These are not the same benches:

Those benches aren’t very Disney. They should add some Ewok and X-Men graphics to them.

Well, you can't sell "premium experiences" such as Early Morning Magic! Unless capacity has been ground down. It's a business, after all.

So Roy the money man wouldn't use an existing closed space for a new offering. If only he conceptualized and designed WDW we could be saved from these conversations about making changes to views that are completely different given other construction and decades of tree growth.

And I am not so sure I'd call 1994 "a few years" ago. The restaurant was open for 23 years and now closed for 24.
