I just had an idea for a really spectacular but low key Kiss Goodnight and wrote up a quick script.

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls. As our enchanted day draws to a close, we invite you to remember the magic one last time as we present a Kiss Goodnight.
Singers: Can you remember, back to a simpler time. Back to those watercolor days, that still run through your mind. Remember. You can be a child again. Be free to live your fantasy, it never has to end. Remember when the twinkling stars at night, told you fairies were in flight. And Mickey Mouse was just around the bend. It's like a dream come true, that's still inside of you. It's time to remember the magic. It's time to remember the magic.
(Montage projected on castle)
(Peter Pan and the Darlings flying)
Peter Pan: Are you ready? Here we go! Off to Neverland.
(Aurora and Philip dancing)
Aurora: I know you I walked with you once upon a dream.
(Belle and the Prince dancing)
Instrumental: (Tale as old as time. Tune as old as song.)
Mrs. Potts: Tale as old as time. Song as old as rhyme. Beauty and the Beast.
(Moana restoring the heart of Te Fiti)
Moana: You know who you are.
(Tiana and Naveen turning human)
Tiana: You just kissed yourself a princess.
(Aladdin and Jasmine on the flying carpet)
Aladdin: A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view.
(Cinderella from rags to ballgown)
Cinderella: It's like a dream. A wonderful dream come true.
(Walt Disney drawing Mickey)
Walt: I hope we never loose sight of one thing. That it was all started by a mouse.
Mickey: Oh boy. Thanks for sharing your day with us and we hope to see you again, real soon!
Singers: Remember when your heart would just take wing. You can live out all your dreams. No matter how, no matter when, you can reach that world again. It's like a dream come true, that's still inside of you. It's time to remember the magic. Always remember the magic.
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Thank you for sharing Disney dreams with us today! Have a pleasant evening and a safe trip home.
Mickey: And always remember the magic!
Singers: Remember the Magic

@mickeyfan5534 might be good with those -- you're right we don't have a lot probably because we've been saving it until we have the general concept down.
I was actually hoping for minimal M&Gs and maximum roaming characters. They make the lands feel far more inhabited. The sole real M&G on the map is the Chateau for the Princesses. I'm sure something can be put in Fantasia Gardens for Mickey and gang but other than that, characters are always going to surprise people.

What is Geyser Mountain and the River Rafts? If Critter Country is redone, I think Western River Expedition could be included in Critter Country and Frontierland could be its own thing.

Western River is a Wild Western themed attraction.... thought there's talking animals it may be odd to fit it in Critter Country o_O I was thinking of it more as a transition attraction.

Love this idea @mickeyfan5534 !

@spacemt354 would it make sense for a Finding Nemo area? It could at least be a mini-land.

There really isn't a spot. Maybe the second gate?

Something's telling me we can really play with this....

We have an Australian Critter country.... What if we had a coral reef subland like Mermaid Lagoon?

Or.... this is a really odd take so bear with me....

A Finding Nemo take on Splash Mountain's Ride system? o_O

Think of a much more elaborate version of The Seas with Nemo and Friends...AAs and new storyline and all.... with a drop similar to splash....

There's a drop in WDW's splash that goes down up and down again in the dark.... I could imagine an EAC like projection during that.... Maybe Jumping out the window to the ocean in the office could be the big drop or something...

I know... it sounds weird.... o_O but I think this could be really innovative if pulled off well :bookworm:

@MonorailRed This could be really cool if pulled off right!

The Ride system is a classic.... and both stories feature the main character leaving home to get into trouble....

I don't know how the exterior would work... but it may be worth looking into....

Thoughts on this @D Hindley @mickeyfan5534 @Brer Oswald ?

Not trying to throw everything out the window.... But it may work really well to have a "Coral Reef Island" Splash in an Australian Critter country than a Splash... Though Splash is a classic.

@spacemt354 Maybe in the space between the orange and reddish brown area?
Possibly! I also concur with @mickeyfan5534 that we're planning on building a 2nd park for the resort complex. We can really flesh out the Finding Nemo area there.

This park is about the size of Disneyland in California so most of the areas are smaller/quaint in this park.

I'm sorry Red, if you axe Splash you axe me :p. It's like getting rid of space mountain, which I'm sure wouldn't make @spacemt354 overjoyed. That being said, could Splash work in the second park? With my atlas idea, it could fit well in the North American land. It would be a good compromise.

I'm going with Brer Oswald here. I'd rather do an Australian Splash Mountain or traditional Splash Mountain and save Nemo for the 2nd gate.

Sounds like a plan!

Looking back at it, this may make more sense anyways, having a little bit of Australia in each park :D

It really depends on how passionate we are about it.

Like we've had Splash on the docket for a few months now, but if we are going in the Splash Mountain direction -- what are the details?

This is all we have so far...

I drew up a rough sketch of the area.

And a concept art piece

I know Red met Joe Rohde -- and asked him if he had tips on how to approach imagineering projects. (So technically Joe Rohde's philosophies are now involved in this project:joyfull:)

He had mentioned that -- the story comes first. What is the story of Critter Country? What are we trying to tell?

If we just go by attractions because we think they are cool, then the story will suffer and be disjointed. Thinking on it...changing Splash to Australian is like changing Tower of Terror to Guardians of the Galaxy. That's not saying it can't be done and be good (because I'm open to the idea) but it has to fit the overall story. Otherwise we are just shoehorning it in so that we have Splash Mountain.

So -- I guess this opens up the thought process....

What does an Australian Splash Mountain do for the story of Critter Country? And in the same breath -- what would Finding Nemo do for it.

Brer- nobody should be leaving just because of one idea. Nothing is finalized yet.
