Yeah, this Land Unknown could be a variation on the "Square" concept, like New Oreans Square or Liberty Square. Basically a romanticized historical American city. Possibly that could be Manhattan Square, which could take design ideas from DisneySea's American Wateefront, or it could be San Francisco Square, which lets us play with the old Discovery Bay ideas for Disneyland without having to rename or retheme Discoveryland on the east side. And possibly any of these American cities could nicely transition between Adventureland and Frontierland.
Actually a San Francisco Square sounds fascinating...combine that with the American Waterfront -- American Wharf a possible name?

Also I'm good with changing Discoveryland into a Discovery Bay type land...I think some of the concepts we had going for that could still mesh.

I like Manhattan Square or San Fransisco Square most of all.

Then let's go with that!

I wonder if we could have a Cable Car winding the streets of the land?
Yes yes yes! Cable cars roaming the streets! A wild mouse coaster down Lombard Street (San Francisco earthquake?). A crime/noir-themed EMV dark ride like D*ck Tracy's Crimestoppers set in the Barbary Coast warehouses. Alcatraz Island explored like Tom Sawyer's Island. The Winchester Mystery House done Mystic Manor style. A dark ride into the magical underbelly of Chinatown, inspired by Big Trouble in Litte China. Tony Baxter's old Fireworks Factory shooting gallery dark ride. Plus the land's headliner, a new version of the Tower of Terror! San Francisco Square / American Wharf could be a very rich land indeed once we get to it.

Why on earth doesn't DCA have something like this?!?!
