Cinderella's Golden Carrousel to change its name June 1

We all know that the Magic Kingdom is a giant show - a living movie, if you will. This is fact.
When the editors of a real movie are chiseling the film down to a tidy 90 minutes, and they have to cut out an entire scene, they also have to go to the preceding and proceeding scenes and edit them...sometimes even re-shooting a few minutes of film so that the movie still makes sense when it's released.
Disney is changing some scenes (i.e. New Fantasyland). By doing so, they've affected the adjacent scenes (i.e. Old Fantasyland) and must update them accordingly.
If we were discussing this on IMDB, leaving the carousel with the name "Cinderella's Golden Carousel" would be considered a flagrant continuity error. People would see it and ask, "Why would Cinderella, a princess, have a carousel out here in the village, with the peasants?"
Be happy that they're leaving the attraction. If they had merely changed "Mr Toad's Wild Ride" to "Ichabod's Mad Driving Experience" and left the attraction for us to enjoy, we'd all be singing a different tune about that, now, wouldn't we?

Someone needs to tell Disney that boys don't really like Prince Charming any more than they like Cinderella. o_0 They like princes like Aladdin and Beast. I understand that they can't change the carousel's name to fit either of those, but changing the name to involve Prince Charming probably won't attract any more little boys to the ride, if that's what Disney's going for. Besides, most boys don't care about the name; a carousel is a carousel. The gender ratio of Carrousel riders is pretty much equal.

Didn't the castle belong to Prince Charming before he married Cindy? It only became Cinderella castle AFTER they tied the knot.

It shouldn't be. It's a sad world we live in if the most intelligent life on this planet can't handle a simple name change.
