...but one can also make an argument that Adventureland is geared a little towards boys.
Effective June 1, 2010, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, the authentic, antique carrousel ride for all ages in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom Park will change its name to Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
Just like how I still call "MGM".... "MGM".
its just confusing to people
This is completely ridiculous. If this was designed by a man (Prince Charming) it certainly wasn't designed by a man who would be interested in marrying a woman.:ROFLOL:
If we were discussing this on IMDB, leaving the carousel with the name "Cinderella's Golden Carousel" would be considered a flagrant continuity error. People would see it and ask, "Why would Cinderella, a princess, have a carousel out here in the village, with the peasants?"
What peasants? Its just fantasyland, its not meant to be a community like tomorrowland is (or was). The land is more like "Disney's greatest hits" in a fairy tale themed setting. Its basically a surrealistic montage rather than trying to represent a real place.

That being said... I don't like the new name.

Great even the carousel needs a stupid backstory.Effective June 1, 2010, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, the authentic, antique carrousel ride for all ages in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom Park will change its name to Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
SO DO I... i hate the name Disney's Hollywood studios... why after 17 years with one name u decide to change it... its just confusing to people
It shouldn't be. It's a sad world we live in if the most intelligent life on this planet can't handle a simple name change.
