So... my chem exam went relatively all right today. At least a 75. (But BOY was it tough, and only 90 marks, too.)

Tomorrow's my final exam with physics. There's two basic things: formulas and definitions. I know the latter off by heart and the former is already given to you on an all-purpose formula sheet.

Yeah... I'll ace this.

In other news, my dad is currently under the knife for his back. His 11th major surgery since 2001. :(
Prayers heading to your dad and your family. I hope things go good.

Hey Betty!

Hello, guys!

Jenny, are you still here? Someone at our town's elementary school asked me if my son has an IEP, because I mentioned that he goes to speech therapy. What is an IEP?

It stands for individualized education plan. If your son were to be diagnosed as developmentally delayed by the district, he would have an IEP that would lay out educational goals and how they would be achieved for the following school year. If his development has been right on target, with the exception of some speech delay, an IEP may not be necessary for him. Ask your district if they want him tested.

((Hugs)) and prayers Dan - both for your father and for studying physics.

So your school district is not the only one messed up Jenn - got a minute, I'll tell you our latest...:(

What's up?

Hey Jenny, I found the Disney and Autism thread and I posted in it.

I saw that, Jo - I didn't know you had a mild form of Asperger's; how awesome that you are not letting that slow you down from your dream of working at Disney! :sohappy::sohappy:In fact, your determination has helped shape it into a tool you can use as a cast member.
Which is what all moms want for their special needs kids, no matter how mild or severe that challenge is. If their challenge enhances their character, makes them more determined to achieve goals, that is completely awesome!!

yeah, I don't talk about it much. It sure made school growing up a right pain in the butt. I still have some issues with it. I am so happy that I am almost done though.

Thanks Jenny.:)

What's up?

Well, our school district consists of 20 elementary schools (K - 6), 3 junior highs (7&8) and 3 high schools plus a vocational school. The city is so far in debt now that the plan is to close 4 elementary schools, all 3 junior highs, send the 8th graders to the high school and have 3 "7th grade academies" that would essentially feed to the 3 high schools.

So, once again, Dave's position is in jeopardy.

It's fantastic that you were able to overcome it and even get your college degree!
