Characters that could use a redesign

Eww. That character looks like he just got off a space ship and threw on a Jack Skellington costume.

You know who can do this correctly...Real People who cosplay...Like this one for example..Please note: This is A Fan Costume...

When you think about it, though, Goofy does NOT look like his cartoon counterpart, and he's gone the longest of the fab five without an update (except for maybe Pluto?). Change might be a good thing for him as well.

Pluto did get a slight update; his tongue no longer hangs out like it once did. As for Goofy, yeah, I agree. He does not have the conjoined eyes that his cartoon counterpoint so prevalently has. If anything, it's a sort of throwback to his 1950s cartoons (where he plays a suburban everyman named George Geef) and maybe to his show "Goof Troop". But yeah, it would be nice if Goofy got an update of this nature somewhere down the way. They make a slight update to him not too long ago: they removed his eyelashes, which he never had in his cartoons, either.

Woody's face is wrong, Br'er Bear and Baloo both have unusual patches by their neck/mouth that need to be stealthier (;)), and the Beast... oh, do not get me started on the Beast.

Any insight on why Little John is on the blacklist? Im sure he has the same issue as Baloo/Brer Bear, but does the cover up cause a safety issue?

I agree with everyone about the Toy Story line up. My wife and I were looking at our Summer 2011 pictures the other night and we both commented about how creepy Buzz looks.

I think the entire Robin Hood cast needs a facelift. Robin Hood looks nothing like his in-the-movie counterpart, both his legs and face are extremely chunky, he needs to be slimmed down a bit (a lot!). Add in the quill hanging from his back featuring his bow and arrows, they can play it off as if he's protecting the park. The Sheriff of Nottingham looks like a constipated buffoon, (I'm sure he still scares away kids) Friar Tuck's face looks way off but besides that he has the potential to be an easy fix. I don't even wanna get into Prince John -sigh- lol.

Geppetto is another character that's long overdue for a makeover, he looks like an aging Cabbage Patch Kid with a terrible comb over.

God bless the "Ignore" button.

My knowledge of Little John is actually zilch. I will say that he looks HORRIBLE, though. He has no shoulders, just a triangular neck!

I would say my top two in a request list for character makeovers would be -

Brer Rabbit -

Redesign his head and for gosh sakes give him the correct coloring. He would look fantastic with a new version, ala what was done with Brer Fox a few years ago. Fox looks awesome...it is time for Rabbit to match him in costume awesomeness.

Beast -

This has already been discussed elsewhere, but a remake is heavily rumored to be on the way.
All i can say is...HOORAY !
Since day one his face design has always looked very *off* to me. A slight re-design based on Glen Keane*s final facial appearance would work wonders for this popular character that looks different from his movie-persona self.

And now if i may drift off into dream-land now....
I would love to see Roger Rabbit also get a re-do....even if just for Disneyland.

Timon's eyes have always bugged me for some reason.
Timon_HKDL.jpg

Some may say he looks stoned...but the reason for the eyes looking this way is to give Timon that visual *laid back* appearance. You can instantly see he is *cool*.

Okay...so maybe to get *laid back* and *cool* he may have had a nip of the magic mushrooms over in Wonderland....but i digress...

Timon rocks.

:D

Is this the part in the thread where I suggest they get Donald some pants?
Heh heh..
This reminds me of a great interview i heard on the radio done by Charles Fleischer ( voice of Roger Rabbit ) back when *Who Framed Roger Rabbit* was first released and became a sensation in the Summer of 1988. The film suddenly made cartoons cool again, and the interview was about how the movie was creating that desire in people to want to watch classic cartoons again.

Anyway, to the point. The interviewer asked Charlie why Roger wears pants, since almost all other cartoon stars like Donald Duck and Bugs Bunny do not. Charlie answered by saying something along the lines of Roger having something that those other Toons did not...and it went off into a PG-13 tangent in a innuendos-laded way.

Priceless radio moment...and hilarious.

By NO WHERE, you mean at their meet and greet location at Downtown Disney...right?

I DID NOT KNOW OF THIS! Is that still going ON!? Edit They are not permanent so its really not the same it was just for a special event so it doesn't really count as a meet and greet location rather than a limited time apperance.:/ I got excited too.

I actually love jack skellington..Im super jealous he is NO WHERE to be found at WDW

I adore Jack - even made a cake a couple of years ago as a tribute to him...but I'm just not a fan of the costume. I know plenty of people love the current Jack costume as is and that's fine... I just don't feel like it looks enough like him to do justice to the character. Just personal preference.

Yeah I get where you're coming from! I love the costume but I could see how it could bother some people, I just really wish those characters had some form of a regular appearance around the parks!
