Characters at Waterparks?

Does anyone know if there are any characters appearing for meet & greets at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? I know in the past they had the gators at each pack and I had my picture with them. If anyone knows any recent sightings and location and times it'd be appreciated.

Odds are I'll be visiting the waterparks soon and if anyone is out I'd like to find 'em

yes they did and i think they still do. There was a blue gator for the alligator, they had to keep him because it wouldmake the sneezingb house not fit.

disneydude2000 is right (though I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the last part of his post). Blizzard Beach has a mascot, Ice Gator, who I believe does meet and greets within the park. What I think disneydude2000 was trying to say, is that Ice Gator's house, which does splash water on guests, is visible in the lazy river, and the house wouldn't fit thematically without Ice Gator.

we have a pic of goofy going downa water slade at blizzard beach..that was pretty cool..that was the one and only time i've ever seen a charcter in a water park

In the past three weeks, I have been to both waterparks. I have not seen any characters there.

I was told that Donald used to hit the waterparks, but not anymore. It's mainly Goofy. On a rare day, Chip n' Dale will sometimes make an appearance, but a CM told me it's very rare to see them out and about.

I think they should have an area for some characters in their swimming trunks, that would be a fun meet and greet idea!

I know that Chip n Dale sometimes go over to Typhoon Lagoon and Goofy and Max sometimes hang out at Blizzard Beach. I talked to Chip one time and he told me he loved playing with the guests at Typhoon Lagoon.

How did you talk to Chip? I thought that the people in the costumes had to stay silent.

I'm not for sure when you say costumes? The characters are real. Chip had his beach outfit on, if that's what you mean.

Well I talked to him later on and he said he had the most fun there with the guests. He said he wished he could get out of the treehouse and go visit there more often.

Ice Gator at Blizzard. Lagoona Gator at Typhon. Wet suit goofy makes an occasional appearance at both (although his original home was River Country).

Back in Summer 2002, they did an experiment where they would also have Beach Pluto and Beach Goofy rotate at Blizzard. They found that at water parks, more then the theme parks, that more teenage and pre-teen kids run around unsupervised. That led to the characters getting unfortunately involved in more mischief.


Ice Gator has a great autograph. A block of Ice with a dot that looks like a lower case "i".

haha! I swear I'm not crazy! Goofy was up on the side of the wave pool..everyone counted down with him and when he got to 1, he jumped in! We all swam over for pics with him. Please tell me that SOMEONE of the numerous people here have seen that happen? haha

I was eating a Chilli dog at Typhoon Lagoon 2 weeks ago, and Lilo and Stitch came up behind me, Stitch pointed at my chilli dog, it was funny. Afterwards they made their way to the wave pool.

That's the only time I've seen characters at a park.

I remember before River Country closed it's doors they used to have characters around the park and they would go in the water and on the slides with guests.

Ahh the good old days.
