I'm hearing there won't be much change to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party this year. Pretty much the same characters, same entertainment etc. for the 2009 parties.

Beginning in early October I've heard there might be some other character changes. At Magic Kingdom Captain Hook, Mr Smee and Rafiki will no longer be appearing and at Animal Kingdom Flik will no longer be out.

Please remember things can change.

No more Capt'n Hook and Mr. Smee?? : ( Bad form, bad form....

I can see them not doing much to change MNSSHP as it seems to be pretty much universally liked.

Yes, but the party has become somewhat stale. Every year has the same characters. In the past they used to have different characters every year. Goliath Gargoyle, Pain and Panic, Darkwing Duck, Clopin, Quasimodo, Phoebus etc.

I do agree, I have gone 3 times and the first time was one of those running around seeing the characters. The other two times have been look candy or look no wait on something:-(

Not to mention Sora and KH Donald and Goofy.

I wish the party had it's character line up changed on a yearly basis.

Drew, I had heard a rumor that Hades would possibly be joining the Villains on stage for the Mix and Mingle at the Halloween Parties?
I guess this wasn't true :(

That's just some of the rumors I have heard. That wouldn't start until October 4th if that is indeed true.

LOL now that I realize it I saw Hook and Smee at the MK and Flik walking around DAK this past week... some of the handful of characters I saw too.... odd. They seemed pretty popular too! Any reason why??

I don't really care what characters are where (although even I have my own faves) ... that said, it would be nice if MNSSHP was plussed.

It's a nice event, but is getting stale and it has lost some things over the years (from the haunted cruises on the Liberty Belle to the free pics) all the while prices have increased.

OTOH, at least I should be able to check out Halloweentime at DL this year at no added cost ... oh, and they are improving it by adding a Halloween pyro show too!

I'm sad to see that there won't really be any changes to MNSSHP, my family has gone these past 4 years and we're actually skipping it this year since we figured it would be nothing new. Now hearing confirmation that there won't be anything new I don't think I'll even consider purchasing a ticket day of.
