Abosolutely!!! Bring back the original Illumiantions Show as well. The new version is great but falls short without the highlights on the World Showcase.
Oh, I think the new show and especially the soundtrack is far superior in total to the old show. But the new SSE just doesn't leave you with the impact the old one did, on that we can agree.

I still love Illuminations do not get me wrong. I feel that the show was grander spectical in the older version with the highlight on the countries in the world showcase. Has there been mor than 2 versions of the show? I first saw it in 2002. That was what I was referring to.
SSE Definatley much better prior to 2007. I never saw the Version with Tomorrow's Child at the end. I viewed it on the Martin's videos. I first rode it in 2002 as well still much better that the 07 update. The ending falls flat.

That was ROE you saw in 2002. The same show has played since October 1999.

Illuminations 25 a and b (totally different shows) were before that, and made more use of the pavilions. The original IllumiNations between 1988 and 1997 made full use of the pavilions, including the "pavilion chase".

I loved IllumiNations 25 b it was an awesome show. I love reflections of earth as well but both were very cool shows :)

I just rode SSE last night and wanted to confirm that there is either some new rock work or that there is new lighting that is making the rock work more visible. I have not noticed the rock work in the past, but it may just be enhanced lighting. Also there are some new triangles as well as some hanging near the curtains instead of only the ceiling. None of the changes are major, but there are some changes that have occured very recently.

So far just enhanced lighting, the rockwork has been there,,I dont get why they are adding more triangles if they arent going to do anything with them. I dont see where any of this is amounting to anything, just thinking off the top of my head here. I gave up on it now for so long I think Im probably just getting impatient lol, but what are they doing exactly? Adding a triangle a night? Fixing a light a night? Moving a curtain a night? Wouldnt it just be easier and faster to close it for a day and get it done? I guess that would make guests mad though especially with TestTrack closed. Hey I miss the waving smiley icon!!! :(

Ok rode SSE today, haven't been on it since Jan. Wow there are A LOT of new triangles and star curtains! Definitely something going on, people don't just add random triangles to things :)

Thanks for the video. There is indeed more triangles, new star fields and brighter "rocks" too.

I think one question has to be just what DO triangles represent!

Wow, its looking better than it had been. The blue glow on the triangles is a start/improvement, def more of them, but yeah what is the representation exactly? Its weird. I think they were going for representing the outside tiles on spaceship earth probably.

And is this it? Or is there still more adding/tweaking to come like the old pepperghosts area. It looks like this is all the triangles will do is glow blue, was hoping for more but will take it. Has anyone noticed if they cleaned up all the trash yet laying overhead?

As much as I'm excited and hopeful for some actual work on the descent, at the same time, it doesn't make sense to me for them to actually add any scenes because the guest is looking at the computer screen the whole time. Why invest in surrounding scenes? Maybe it's possible they're just "cleaning up" the area? >>pessimistic<<

I was thinking about the narration today, and I think the only thing that stops it from sounding absolutely condescendingly dumbed-down is the fact that anything that Judi Dench says sounds intelligent because of her accent. Like how people couldn't tell Rita on Arrested Development had the mental development of a child because of her proper British accent!

Taken yesterday (6/16), this may or may not help. It's pretty dark and wobbly.

Thanks for the video. I think that having these "enhancements" is a good idea. We rode SSE in February, and again when I visited in April. We got bored with the English version, and switched to German for variety, plus we made really funny faces.

Anyway, the last time we descended, our video monitor kept freezing, --I tapped on it and it flashed "connection lost" or something like that. We laughed, and didn't mind, since this wasn't our first time, but I think I'd enjoy watching those blue triangles more than taking the survey. I think that sometimes people go to SSE when the other rides have long lines or they want to get into the air conditioning.
