...so naturally I became the CEO of Disney...

Well... this isn't really news. Some folks decided to speculate without there being some sort of trigger for the speculation. It's not like something happened or they got someone on the record with regard to this.

Not saying it's not likely, but, a Bloomberg speculation piece about it doesn't exactly make it news.
The question that always interests me is whether it was Chapek allies or adversaries that tried to get this story planted in Bloomberg.

Lol, had no idea that's there.

He is doing a lot for the Cruise Line so it isn't totally undeserved. I just wonder how a sign like that comes to be, as in, who decides to put that there.
It's basically like castaway cays version of the windows on Main Street. Only in this case they are generally for current leaders. Staggs had one before chapek and Iger, holz and a variety of others also have them around the island.

Okay, someone is going to have to explain the Weatherman reference to me...

You see, even though some people may be physically and chronologically adults, they're still mentally children and use childish nicknames because they don't have the emotional or intellectual maturity to make arguments about the things they dislike using adult words and logical thought. [cf. 'Chappie', 'oddly waifish man of anemic personality,' 'pixie dusters'.] It's almost as if they think that by using these diminutives, it makes their position right or stronger, when, in fact, it does the opposite.

As to why "The Wetherman" specifically, it has been explained above.

Nothing to see here, yet....

Until Disney hires/promotes a President and COO nothing is going to happen. That person, whomever they may be, will likely be the next CEO (unless they go outside for CEO).

Wluld be a good idea to go outside and get a new perspective imo but I doubt they will

It depends on if you feel that ALL of TWDC is devoid of any people with leadership qualities, I do not. I feel they have plenty of people within their ranks and on the board that could fill the role of CEO and lead TWDC into the future.
Yes, I would normally agree but Eisner came from the "outside" and I think that was incredibly beneficial for the company at the time.

While that maybe true, the company is in a different place than it was back then. And some blame Eisner for the missteps after Frank Wells died. Anyways I think they are more likely to promote from within than look outside.

I love Tony but he overspent on DLP and I don't think can run a $150 billion conglomerate
True, and I mainly posted this as a joke. He is a great visionary though with a ton of creative power. I'd love to see what he could do for the parks if he was in charge. If he had someone to hold him back money-wise, I think he could do a great job.
