Celeb Sightings at MGM Lately?

I was at MGM id say about 10 years ago or so and was heading into GMR and out comes Jerry Lewis and his group of people. Jerry was very rude as he does the whole labor day telethon thing and me being in a wheelchair, and he passed me by like I was totally invisible...

When I was at MGM in like '98 or '99 I saw Britney Spears there filming parts for the Easter Parade I think. It was on our way to see the 101 Dalmatians behind the scenes exhibit. They were trying to get young girls to go and stand behind her in the shot, well my mom thought it would be funny if I went in there to stand behind her because she knew Britney wasn't exactly my favourite celebrity lol. Well I ended up yelling "No I hate Britney Spears!" a little louder than originally planned and all her entourage and bodyguards and her turned around and looked at me...I was SO embarassed at the time...but it's a fun story to tell now :p

I've never been fortunate enough to see a celebrity at WDW (though I thought I may spotted a family getting an Extreme Home Makeover).

I did meet Disney star Anne Hathaway (Princess Diaries movies, Ella Enchanted) by interviewing her for a kids' newspaper. She was so kind and funny.

I have also met my share of baseball stars at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and at Mets Spring Training in Port St. Lucie. (Bill Mazeroski, Bob Feller, Carlton Fisk and Lou Brock in Cooperstown, Gary Carter, Chris Chambliss, and others in Port St. Lucie)

Sadly, none in WDW.

When I was at MGM Studios last August (2004), while in pre-show for The Muppets 3D Adventure I noticed a guy and got that feeling of him being famous/on t.v. , well I was right! It turned out he was Shawn Michaels, how I remember that at the time was funny because I had not watched any sort of wrestling show in a few years. No one bothered him, he was with his wife and two(?) kids.

Another Kelly Ripa encounter:

Date: May 14th, 2005, the Saturday morning following the week-long set of shows taped from Town Square in the MK. Location: Uzima Springs, the AKL pool. My mother chatted with her for a few minutes, in what could be best described as a "private audience." I merely stood before her. And yes, she was wearing a bathing suit. lol

Our Celeb Sighting...

We ran into Roy Disney a few years ago. During the 100 years celebration. We had heard that the President, who was in Orlando to speak at a convention, may show up at MGM. After hanging around MGM for a while we got news that the President wouldn't be there, but his brother the Governor and Michael Eisner would be there. We hung out and watched both Jeb Bush and Michael Eisner go by. At the back of the crowd was Roy Disney just "hanging-out" with a few other "suits".
We walked up introduced ourselves and asked for a photo. He said he would be glad to. He told a man on a cell phone that we would like a picture. The guy on the phone held up his hand as if to say "in a minute". Roy shot him a look and said "these guests would like a picture". The guy hung up in mid-sentence. It was so funny. The man took the picture for us and we thanked Roy and ran to the camera shop at the end of Hollywood Blvd. We didn't have a digital camera at the time so we had to pay to get the film developed. We were nervous of the shot. But as you can see it came out great!!!

Man, I am jealous. I have never seen any celebs hanging about at WDW.... unless you count Grad Nite in 2000.

Maybe when I go up later this month I'll spot someone.

No real celeb sightings at Disney but I did ride the Hulk at UIA with the entire gang from 'NSYNC. They were let on the ride by security and posed for a few pictures afterwards. Once word got around that they were there huge crowds began to form and they were escorted out through a side exit.

At MGM this past Friday, as it was pouring down rain, a friend and I darted for cover underneath a shop that I believe was outside the Sounds Dangerous! Studio. We were looking at all the stuff and trying to keep from getting wet when I heard her; I knew the voice sounded familiar, so I turned to look. There she was, a Disney cast member who looked so incredibly familair, but I was still having difficulty figuring out where I knew her from. I looked at her name tag, as she was a Disney castmember, and still the name was so familiar, but from where. Finally, as we were about to depart, it hit me... Trading Spaces Home Free celebrity, Vilma! Her and her husband, Angel, were one of the last two teams on Trading Spaces Home Free to have their mortgage paid off. I was going to ask for a photo, but thought she might think I was weird, so I opted not to. But, I did call my mom right away to tell her, because we loved her on the show. I'm going to check back on my next trip and see if she's there again. Also, her celebrity status compared to those of most on this thread seems miniscule, but I was super excited by the find!

When I was 4 I was in line behind Rick Schroder (I don't remember this but my father has a picture). In 98 when we arrived at MCO we spotted Denzel Washington. But that is as far as my sightings go.

However in 1999 while in Canada at WS my mom ran into her friend then in 2000 I was at the penny press machines in the food court at all star movies and i felt someone watching me i turned around it was my friend keith he was like "What are you doing here?" and then my brother ran into his friend who was on the same flight as us going home from orlando and this past trip I actually saw a girl I went to high school with at the Emporium, while at MK I was talking to my grandparents on the phone and I saw a lady I thought I knew but i figured it wasnt her but turns out she told my mom she saw me but wasnt sure it was me lol.

as far as celebrity sightings ive haven't had many but as far as running into people that I know from Massachusetts, thats pretty good chances for me lol.
