Castmember Complaints

It's Cast Members like this that have changed what WDW used to be. This typical teenage "I don't give a crap about anything" attitude has changed the guest experience over the years.

It's a hard job? Ha! First off, NO it isn't. Second, it makes no difference if it's a hard job. You agreed to do it for whatever the pay rate is. Either do it right, or leave. You're doing more harm than good if you're just spouting off anything you'd like.

What are you attacking me for? LOL. I'm doing my job right. No one complained yet. Guests were only happy with me. :king:

And besides....
I went to Universal, Wet'n'Wild, and Sea World in the last few weeks. I gotta say that I don't want to go back to Sea World ever again. I had a few bad experiences with their employess. Disney CMs make Disney a special place, so no Disney World is not all that bad because of a few bad cast members! You will see that everywhere!

No, no. No attack. It's the attitude of the poster you replied to. Although, your point of view of "what he said" sure makes it seem as if you agree that false info outside the gorillas is no big deal, which is what I was after, so.

Most jobs usually are stressful at times, no matter where you work. I've had a few various jobs over the past few years, and each one had their ups and downs.

Lots of people have difficult jobs. Many of these people go to Disney World on vacation to get away from these jobs for a while and relax. Dealing with people can be stressful, but thats part of the job, and a part of life. Don't view it as problematic, just view it as one of the parts of the job. Don't take things so personally!

It doesn't even sound like the people making the complaint were going to be very viscious in their complaint, either. Complaints shouldn't be seen as negative all the time. If I were a CM now and I was doing a part of my job wrong, I would want someone to let me know, or else I would just keep on doing it wrong.

The word "job" appears 7 times in this paragraph.

in that case I want to complain - the little beggars did nothing but sleep when I was there in August
I still don't believe that there are actually any gorillas in there. I've done this attraction several times and have never seen one. I think its a trick.

CM: And right there, you can see our silverback male, the patriarch of our tribe.
Guests: ooooooooooh
Me: That's a leaf.
CM: I assure you sir, its a silverback. And over there you can see 2 of our females, raising their young.
Guests: awwwwwwwwww
Me: That's a rock, and a leaf.
CM: *ahem* Aww look! There's Jub-jub! the young male, he's quite the little joker!
Guests: hahahahaha
Me: THAT'S THE SAME LEAF!

Seriously, everytime i look in there, i just see dense foliage, nothing else. Maybe i'm doing something wrong.

I read through most of these, I was wondering if they ever mentioned what mis-information that was given. How do we know they were correct the guests were wrong, or was it some information that different scientists may believe either or.

I'm not sure if I missed it, but it doesn't look like the OP has commented on anything anyone has said. Maybe it was someone who just wanted to see how many people she could get riled up.:lookaroun If I missed her responses, I retract the whole statement and am sorry.:D

I think she was just looking for contact information and not a big discussion.

If I may add my 2 cents, I think that the OP has a legitimate complaint. I've seen guests complain over much smaller issues both at parks I've visited and parks I've worked at.

Here is why I believe that this is not just something silly and why I think it should be reported. If it is still something that still bothers the OP and her family, then that means it is important to her and her family. If the false information affected their experience, then it should be reported. Approximately 90% of guests who have a negative experience will never report it. If no one reports the incorrect information, then it will continue to be given out. It's apparent that the cm maybe needs a little more training in the area, or maybe just a quick refresher. I know that they work a lot of hours, but the guests deserve to hear accurate information. As a supervisor at my job, I would want to know about a cm not performing to expectations (expectations in this case being to convey correct information). You can't fix a problem that you don't know exists.

I don't know how incorrect the information was because I wasn't there. But, I would venture a guess that it was somewhat significant since it bothered the OP to the point that she went home, researched the subject, and decided that she wanted to figure out a way to file a complaint from home.

I returned today after not visiting for several weeks and it seems you guys are still up to your old tricks.

This lady is polietly asking how to complain, no reason given but when asked you put her down. I would be disappointed if a Cast Member was getting details wrong on animals they are supposed to know about. In a slightly different arena, I have been to a industry trade show and a colleague was suspended for giving out false information instead of saying they didn't know.

Anyway I am not bothered about that, just your elitist and unwelcoming stance on this site which is a shame because I really enjoyed planning my trip in 2004 but it has since changed and most threads end up in put downs and tit for tat arguments. New members innocently trying to bring News and Rumours are immediatley ridiculed.

There should be firmer moderation in here until the bad weeds are pulled out.

Or more like:"The average gorilla can leap 700 feet into the air. Gorillas reproduce asexually through a process known as "budding" and have an average lifespan of 3 weeks. Individual gorillas have the ability to combine their bodies into larger "super-gorillas", and frequently attack major cities."

Locking threads is usually a bad idea, but the OP has not gotten the requested information...who to contact for a complaint...but instead a lot of discussion(aka argument) has ensued as to whether or not a complaint should be filed. I don't blame the OP for looking elsewhere.

Unless someone can come up with the REQUESTED information, this thread will be locked. Please DO NOT continue the argument; your posts will be deleted.

Fair warning.
