VIDEO SPOILER ALERT!

A video has been leaked this week on YouTube that shows a full ride-through video of the Radiator Springs Racers attraction. It features a lot of working audio and dialog, and shows the entire ride with all the major show scenes. This is NOT the heavily edited and packaged video they showed at D23 Expo this summer.

Only click on this YouTube link if you want to see an admittedly simple yet very thorough preview of Radiator Springs Racers... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDKenpHoBUE&context=C3260c08ADOEgsToPDskKLXhAZtQBVrxcDtTT9FXru

Not sure how long that video will stay up on YouTube, as it looks to be a private presentation at WDI secretly taped by an audience member. But it really whets your appetite for Summer 2012! :sohappy:

Oh wow! DS14 watched it with me and his jaw was totally dropped at the end. He said, "That's awesome." Thanks muchly for the link. Glad I caught it before it disappears.

I want to watch but I'm not.

Certainly more exciting than DL being open for 24 hours.

Edit-

Also the Cars 2 meet and greet is now gone giving us back the almost perfect view into Cars Land again.

I wish I had your willpower! I had to watch it.

I wonder if the removal of the Cars 2 pavilion means the work on Cars Land is now pushing up to the location of that Cars 2 facility? It would seem they would at least need to do pavement work in that area as Route 66 joined up with DCA's El Camino Real parade route pavement.

I really expected the racing portion to last longer. It's only approximately 40 seconds of the ride time, which isn't much different (and maybe slightly less) than the fast portion of Test Track.

All the character AAs keep talking about getting you ready for the race, and then it's over almost as soon as it begins.

It really does feel like a Pixar Test Track. At least it looks better than the factory aesthetic of TT.

SPOILERS

They did mention at the end that this was just one version of the ride, so perhaps the final will be a little heavier on the 'racing.' Would seem strange to have so much of a Cars/racing themed ride be so slow moving. Admittedly it is pretty hard to tell how fast thing go based on the video as even the racing portion appears pretty slow in the video.

Was glad to see that there were so many show scenes though -- there's quite a bit of the ride that goes on inside it would seem!

You might be right, but I got the impression that the multiple versions of the ride would mainly involve different character dialogue. But you're right about the show scenes -- seem to be plenty of them.

I thought the race at the end was between two different cars with guests. What the "one version of the ride" reference may have meant is this is what one set of guests will see (car 1) and the other version is what the other set of guests would see (car 2). Then they race at the end, and unload.

Thanks for sharing! LOVE all the show scenes before the actual race itself. I agree with the previous poster that the race portion didn't give the impression of much speed, but I'm pretty sure that when actually on the ride, it will seem much faster. Someone mentioned it being just a Cars version of Test Track. I guess I always thought that about it. But as far as the show scenes and the overall atmosphere, even outside, I believe it completely blows Test Track away.

The YouTube video of the WDI ride-through of Radiator Springs Racers has now been deleted by its owner. :ROFLOL:

When I posted it here two days ago, it had 78 views. It was linked from several major fan websites. Today when it was removed, it had about 5,000 views.

Not sure how WDI could have made such a bone-headed mistake like that to allow such a video to exist in the first place. Why are they just showing those types of videos to random field trip groups of goofy college kids all equipped with iPhones?

That video is the type of proprietary material that only approved people with a security clearance should have access to, not just a field trip Show And Tell presentation with absolutely no security measures taken.

What year do they think this is at WDI, 1972?

A small update from the Disney Parks Blog mainly on the pie that will be offered at Flo's.
http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/01/disneyland-resort-favorites-for-national-pie-day/
Even better news ahead, fellow pie fans: the new Flo’s V-8 Café in Cars Land, set to debut this summer at Disney California Adventure park, already has four pies on the menu: Dutch apple-cheddar, strawberry rhubarb, Mississippi Mud and blueberry. My first order will be the rich Mississippi Mud.
