That is an amazing picture!

For those unfamiliar with Cars Land, that waterfall and bridge is actually on the opposite side of the mountains, and they took artistic license with its placement for this publicity shot. Otherwise, it's a great image of what this land is going to look like.

A new video of the recording session for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree

When Cars Land opens this summer and you enter Radiator Springs, the first attraction you’ll see is Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. This attraction is going to be a blast! You’ll hop onto a baby tractor where you’re then pulled around in a series of figure eights to some of Mater’s favorite songs.

I had the pleasure of flying to Omaha, Nebraska, to go behind the scenes for the Disney Parks Blog and shoot a voice-over session with Walt Disney Imagineers and Larry the Cable Guy. He was singing seven original songs for the new attraction. It was an entertaining two days! The famous comedian and voice of “Mater” is a very down-to-earth guy who made the long sessions a lot of fun. And if you’re wondering why we were all in Nebraska, that’s Larry the Cable Guy’s home turf. It’s still show business, but far away from the Hollywood hills. Enjoy!

MintCrocodile posted a few time photos of Cars Land at night

Some of the neon signs are turned on. Can't wait to see the whole town lit up very soon!

Miceage and Mr. Lutz has an "Editor's Note" up late tonight (Thursday), for news happening later on Friday. Bigwigs are on the loose in Cars Land!

EDITOR’S NOTE 2/10: John Lasseter, Tom Staggs, and a gaggle of top Disney executives will be at Disneyland today (Friday). After an overview of proposed plans for DCA's relaunch, they will be riding all three Cars Land attractions mid-afternoon, with a trip on the nearly complete Radiator Springs Racers as the big finale. Lasseter spends more and more time in Anaheim, but for some of the other execs it's a much too rare visit to Disneyland. - Al Lutz

Gosh, I just can't get enough of these Cars Land pics! I am now chomping at the bit to get into that land and explore all of this stuff myself!

I don't think I can stand on that Blue Sky Cellar patio and only stare over the wall any longer. TDA needs to offer upcharged Cars Land Hardhat Tours for loyal AP's! :lookaroun

Now don't kill me, because I don't have pics to post because I left my iphone charging in the car, but...

Tonight I went to the Sephora at Downtown Disney because I didn't want to make the trek to South Coast Plaza. (They've just remodeled the DTD Sephora, by the way. It's a different layout than it's had since '01 and has new furnishings inside. Looks nice.) And afterwards I took a stroll through DCA just before it closed for the night, and from the Blue Sky Cellar patio I spied new signage!

Fillmore's Taste-In has a big marquee up, and it looks like it's made out of hubcaps and mufflers that are like big wind chimes. And there's a "Welcome To Radiator Springs" sign up near the front of the land, with a Route 66 sign on top of it. But it's not the big marquee they are building near the very front, that still is just framing. The new Radiator Springs welcome sign is about 10 yards further down the road than the big marquee.

I'm sure someone will have some pics to link to soon. But with the "Welcome To Radiator Springs" sign up, that makes me think the big marquee they are building is going to be a "Cars Land" branded sign instead of just Radiator Springs. As if the marquee will identify the entrance to the land, and then the smaller sign will announce you are entering the town of Radiator Springs. Make sense?

Hmm.... we'll just have to wait for pictures I guess. Nevermind, but thanks for playing TP2000.

Truly some very talented people working on this massive project.

I love the Cozy Cone neon, probably my favorite behind Flo's

I agree! This project is so huge, the biggest type of thing Disney can do short of building an entirely new park. And there's obviously some great talent behind this.

Cars Land seems to have gotten the very best and brightest of Imagineering.

Is anyone else massively (or NOT surprised) at (AGAIN), NOT themeing the stores? I thought the impression was that they were going for "Hogsmeade type" shopping experiences. AL even said Lasseter was pushing for RS Curios to be One of a Kind Shop 2.0. Now the Disney Blog is clearly stating that there will be just generic Cars merch. that you can get at Target and Toys R Us along with MORE pins and Vinylmation. If the shopping won't match the theming after this much hype, it really shows they refuse to learn from thier competitors and are still full of hubris.

I have no hope the junk Disney sells in theme park stores will ever change much. At least some of the stuff in Cars Land will be exclusive to the land, like the car club merch in Ramone's or the bumper stickers in the Curios shop.

But there's good news from the Blue Sky Cellar, from Al Lutz this morning on Miceage...

EDITOR’S NOTE 2/28: If you're headed to the One More Disney Day event, don't forget to hop over to DCA before it closes because the final expansion exhibit in the Blue Sky Cellar debuts Wednesday. Dedicated almost solely to Cars Land, it's an eye-popping display with scale models big and small and lots of newly revealed details for the land. John Lasseter also rode Radiator Springs Racers in the rain yesterday, and the Imagineers have a list of things to tweak and change on that massive E Ticket. -Al Lutz

I hadn't yet seen the Disney Parks Blog post about the Cars Land merch when I first responded, but I have now. Here's the Blog post with pictures of some of the Cars Land merch coming to Ramone's House of Body Art this summer...http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...bination-at-disney-california-adventure-park/

I dunno, but I kind of like this stuff. And it's all specific to Cars Land, not the usual Cars bath set or t-shirt you can buy at Target. It's land-specific stuff, themed to Cars and Cars Land, for sale only in Cars Land.

What else would they sell in Cars Land? Basic non-Cars car accesories like you can also buy at Pep Boys or Target? What were folks expecting exactly?
