^ It's so cool to finally see a ride vehicle out on the finished track! It gives a new perspective on the ride, especially since the car looks so small compared to the huge rock cliffs.

Wow! That really helps put it in perspective, as most of us are familiar with the Test Track vehicles and know that the car shown there seats six people.

Radiator Springs Racers is going to be one heckuva E Ticket ride! :sohappy:

That will be incredible to ride through! The amazing built environment, coupled with some of the effects/show scenes like the changing tires and the new paint, will make for an amazing ride. Man oh man oh man, I hope I can manage a trip to CA next year!

Also a long time for me......

Not since 94

But Cars Land is suppose to open Summer 2012, no solid dates other than that :(

It has been 19 years since we last visited DL. It will be a nice return with just the DW and me. Our son wants to go, but he should be well on his way into the spring semester of his Junior year in college (in Louisiana too), so he wont be going. In fact, he missed out on our last trip to WDW too.

We are booked for February 23rd through the 28th, offsite @ BWPPI.

Lots of great photos in the Monday Dateline Disneyland over on Miceage, but I thought this one in particular was rather pretty with the faux Cadillac Range in foreground and the real Orange County foothills (not to be confused with our real Orange County housewives) in the background.

Also, the backside of the rockwork facing Paradise Pier is nearing completion. It's interesting to see how the western portal into Cars Land will look like from Pacific Wharf. Cars Land has really changed the views and vistas from all over the northern half of DCA!

As a person who has only gone to WDW, I'm jealous.

As a person who, between March 1981 and April 8, 2009, had only visited WDW, I can tell you that you have every reason to be jealous, and that you should definitely make it a point to visit Disneyland someday soon.

April 9, 2009 changed the way I saw, interpreted, and appreciated Disney Parks in the United States. See it. Nothing will ever compare to EPCOT, but Disneyland Resort is really, really cool.

They really are putting a lot of detail into the rockwork, right down to the track level on the exterior race course segments...

IMG3024-XL.jpg

And I love this linear look down the street at the neon signs being installed. I just know this will look great at night!

VIDEO SPOILER ALERT!

A video has been leaked this week on YouTube that shows a full ride-through video of the Radiator Springs Racers attraction. It features a lot of working audio and dialog, and shows the entire ride with all the major show scenes. This is NOT the heavily edited and packaged video they showed at D23 Expo this summer.

Only click on this YouTube link if you want to see an admittedly simple yet very thorough preview of Radiator Springs Racers... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDKenpHoBUE&context=C3260c08ADOEgsToPDskKLXhAZtQBVrxcDtTT9FXru

Not sure how long that video will stay up on YouTube, as it looks to be a private presentation at WDI secretly taped by an audience member. But it really whets your appetite for Summer 2012! :sohappy:
