MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Jungle Cruise is a unique ride.
It's outdoors, and it's "real" as in having boats with motors.
You see real foliage, feel the elements...
No screens, you move through the scenes.
There is precious little of that left - and that's even more apparent as Rivers of America is getting removed.

It's superfluous with the existence of Animal Kingdom. You can see the real version of those animals at a neighboring park -- why do I need to see old AA animals? It's just not comparable to attractions like Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Spaceship Earth in terms of impressive show scenes.

Yes, there are a couple of show scenes that are more than just animals, but not enough to make it worth riding, especially with the amount of space it uses in the park (which is the biggest problem with it).

I'd either like a replacement or a massive overhaul to replace most of the show scenes with something better.

The charm of the jungle cruise lies in the silliness of it. It’s a fun adventure though the jungle not a action packed safari.

JC isn’t my favorite but the idea of getting rid of it is CRAZY to me. The AAs, simple story and old school feel of it gives it that charm and whimsy that nothing they put in its place would have.

That's the issue with it for me -- it doesn't really have any charm or whimsy; I find most of the humor cringeworthy rather than silly/fun.

Again, though, my biggest problem is the size. If it didn't take up such a massive plot it would be fine, but when you consider they could likely put in an E ticket, a C ticket, and a table service restaurant with no problem in that space...

Of course, if it was replaced (and I don't think it will be) I'd prefer to see it replaced by 1980s or 1990s era Disney than current Disney.

I think it, the Speedway, and Space Ranger Spin are the only pre-2000 MK attractions that I would not be sad to see go.

All that said, I still don't see any need to replace it right now when they still have unused expansion pads.

I just don't believe a well designed Theme park necessarily means cramming as many attractions per square foot of space as is possible... They could tear down most of Tomorrowland and cram a bunch more attractions in....why stop there? Why not tear down Main Street and fill that Hub area with flat rides...
Attractions like The Jungle Cruise, Tom Sawyer's Island, The Liberty Belle, Hall Of Presidents are placemaking... they halp set the theme and story for the journey you are on...Which was always the Disney difference.... Feels like most people are not enjoying the parks but just check-listing attractions and on the the next thing... Which is kinda sad.

SO why can't it look quite nice and be someplace it belongs? Why cram it into a location it doesn't really fit when there are 3 other parks that all need attractions...and without having to lose things to build it....
Oh I’m with you. Trust me. Losing the riverboat is criminal but I’ve been told “no one rides it”

Think if they took out the treehouse too, they could put in fireworks viewing from that angle....

Yeah that's it, put in a stadium they could fill once or twice a night like the other parks have....

If I had the chance, here’s what I’d do. Pull a Tokyo space with it. Updated show scenes, boats with better capacity and more fuel efficient, and new stuff while keeping what works.
I wouldn't remove the Jungle Cruise, but I agree it could use a refresh of sorts. Nothing too drastic, of course - you can't remove the Elephant Bathing Pool or the Backside of Water. I wish they'd put a bit more thought into what they replaced the Headhunters with than "LOL primates are funny".
